How To Find The Best Warrior Forum Posts

Hey all

A general guide to what makes a good post is how many 'Thanks' it receives. You can search for only the most highly Thanked posts on the Warrior Forum by typing in the following in Google:

site:warriorforum.com "The Following 15..9999 Users Say Thank You to" "For This Useful Post:"
You can change the number '15' up and down as you like. A lower number will sacrifice quality and increase hits, a higher number will increase quality but decrease hits.

Happy searching

This is all very interesting but what about the great posts that exist that have not been seen by a majority of eyes? You are merely appealing to those lazy types that are not interested in reading or contributing anything but more to do with raping WF of their knowledge.

I had stronger words to add here but I just can't be bothered if people can't.

I think it's an appealing post. So, I must be one of those who rape WF of knowledge. Yep, I've only got 200+ posts, yet somehow I hope I've contributed something along the way. But maybe if I wasn't so lazy I would have contributed more or read more by now.

But hey, it's not just me. Of all the people who read this thread, most won't comment, so I guess they're raping the contents as well.

It's not enough to want it... you have to want it enough.

That's being a little harsh Blimeyoreilly, don't you think? When I first joined, I read all of the 5 star posts and the most viewed. There's no 'most thanked' search, so this adds that functionality. Where's the problem?

While I agree with the OP that this can help, for once I agree with Blimey. (I hope I'm not struck dead for typing that!)

How many people even know that you can rate a thread? How many people troll and lurk with no account and never hit the thanks button, or even make enough posts so that they get a thanks button in the first place? Not to blow my own horn, but I've had many PMs due to posts I've written that have never gotten more than 2-3 thanks, yet I had tons of private response for them.

OP I think you've posted a fantastic way to find what are widely accepted as awesome posts...but it's not all-inclusive.

While it may not be all inclusive, it is a decent option if someone is merely looking for highly thanked posts. As mentioned some very decent posts may not have many thanks or lead to a highly rated thread, on the flipside a post with many thanks is probably a good post.

I can see how this is helpful.

...Well okay perhaps I need not have barked so loud but as JaRyCu points out...
There are a lot of posts everywhere that have excellent content but don't seem to get any thanks. This is true of thousands of posts.

Look it's also well known that IMers are lazy at heart I am one of them. If I can find a quicker way to get what I want including content I will try the quick way. Whether I like it or not though it is being lazy & I am probably missing out on tons of other valuable info by skimming etc.

Yes it might be a good feature on WF but if we all just aimed at the most thanked posts (or whatever) & thought these were the only posts worth reading we would be soO wrong.

By the way, I write the way I do NOT because I think the thread is crap but because I like to get reaction, get the readers snarling & eager enough to wanna sink their teeth back into me (I LOVE THAT). Makes life so much more interesting don't you think?

...and I'm back to disagreeing with you again. All is right in the world now.

You're just saying that to get a reaction & to improve your cred ratings lol
Glad there's someone who gets relief from reading my posts. I've thanked you for that.

Here's how I like to find some of the best....

Just click the Ratings tab in the main forum or any of the subforums here and you will have all of the 5 star posts that you can go through and read to your heart's content....Many times you'll find the replies to be just as valuable as the original posts.

    Have Fun!
