1. you can personally share it in groups.

2. promote it everywhere you can - blog, ebooks, email sig file...

3. when using facebook, you can choose to "use facebook as" - choose to use it as the page you created, and then leave comments on other relevant pages. If those comments carry value, some people will visit your page and like it. Keep in mind that this allows you to leave comments "as the page you promote" on HIGH TRAFFIC pages...

I suggest buying some advertising with Facebook Ads and advertise your fan page to get more fans. Facebook likes to keep users within Facebook so you can get pretty cheap traffic if you generate a high enough CTR

That's while testing about 50 different ad variations until I found a winner and then obviously scaled

Hey Hazyl,

Yeah, Facebook ads are great for driving traffic. Experiment with their different ad types, as I've had some great conversions (0.5%) with things like the 'Sponsored Like' format.

Also, there's a ton of great methods for promoting your fan page via other social media, as well as some internal methods within Facebook itself (other than the ads). This post might help you:

If you want free organic traffic from facebook, the best option is to use keywords in your page name along with your url
such as keyword - url as your page name
if the keywords and url are small then you can use 2 keywords along with url
such as keyword1 - keyword2 at url
this way, you are going to get lots of free organic traffic to your page and as the url is also in the page name, so you may see people joining page as well as visiting / joining your site.
I get lots of free organic traffic this way from face book to my site.

One more thing, once you create a page, you need to bring initial fans to it, once there are 30 + fans on it engaged in some discussion, it will be picked by Google for the specified keywords in the page name.

I am going to change my Fanpage title and was thinking of using a keyword and possibly two for the new title. I have read that the two must not be joined together but must be separated by 'and' or / or -
I found your post very interesting. You say that the keywords and url must be short. Do you know how many letters? Or any other advice?

Choose your fan page with your targeted keyword.
Advertise your fan page in the ppc.
You can purchase some facebook likes and participate to share some info regularly.
Many visitors who search with that keyword they will become fan of your page.
People will like to become fan which is more popular.
So that increase your fans using any of these methods.

Hi Hazyl,

Before you promoting your facebook fan page to almost everywhere, I suggest that you determine who your target audience are. Determine the groups there in and the pages they liked.

Also, if you want to generate organic fans on your fan page. You have to be active on your main profile page as well.

If you're going to find leads within facebook, then it would be best if you use your main profile to add your target audience as friends. Then create a relationship from there by engaging with them, asking them questions and giving them value. Once you've done that, you could refer them to your facebook fan page. If you'll do this, there is a bigger chance that they will be commenting and will be constantly visiting your page.

I don't know if you noticed this but Facebook allows you to invite your friends to like your page in just one click. It's like the suggestion button that facebook had before.

Social media is about engagement and it's not about numbers.

Also, you could use your fan page profile to engage in other fan pages as well. Go for fan pages that are related to your niche.

Try to make your fan page look better too. By designing your timeline and getting a software to create those tabs. Just make sure, that you don't put links or call to action stuff on your timeline banner.

Also facebook ads is one of those things that can really help you promote your page, but it can be a bit expensive.

Provide information on my own fan page, go promote my fan page (post some information) on other's fan page? Build relationship with them. But after that, how do i lead them to sign up in my squeeze page?

You can actually send them straight to an opt-in form if you use Facebook ads to build your fan page. Just select which part of the fan page to send them to when creating your campaign.

Once you've demonstrated a bit of value to the fans, post a link to your squeeze page every so often.

Before starting a fanpage - make sure to know WHY you are actually starting a fanpage. I see way to many businesses start a fanpage because "everybody else is doing it". If that's your motivation - don't. Facebook fanpages can be really good for your business, but you got to do it right. If you don't have a clear plan, go back to the table before starting out.

I mentioned that when I just got started for the first 2 weeks, there's hardly any likes and shares. Then something went viral and we started to get a lot of likes and shares.

To answer your question 1 by 1:
1) when I just got started, I only focus on learning how to get my post goes viral. So everyday we post something. If we see something went viral, we stop and think what makes it viral, then we clone it for the next post.

2) yes when I just got started, I only post quotes with photos, sometimes with simple background. Well, people just click like and share because they like them. Share those quotes from famous people or very catchy quotes will helps. If the person is an inspiration himself/herself like Ghandi, Steve Jobs, Bruce Lee, the quotes will go viral most of the time. You can see that most of the high virality quotes in my fan page are quotes from the "legends" XD

3)Nope, I didn't simply add some strangers, I don't add people, people like and add my page.

Well, I agree with some points above:
1) use FB ads - However, I would say go on and learn how to make things goes viral first, test and see why people would like to share your stuff, then only go on and use paid traffic. You will never know what will went viral or what will not exactly but experience can help you to make sure you allocate the same effort and time to create something which has better chance to go viral.

2) Do not completely depends on facebook- use facebook as a channel only. Facebook is not a good place to sell something or to monetize something. I personally use facebook as a channel to drive traffic to my website Inspiration Boost - Empowering Your Soul. And in my website, on the right sidebar, people can like my facebook page in case they haven't. I'm only testing how effective it is for facebook to serve as a traffic source. I drove all the social media traffic to my side and I used mainly pinterest and stumbleupon.
will change the form of the website and start to monetize soon, but right now I will just focus on driving traffic more. Right now, viral traffic from social media wins over the traffic I got from paid traffic. I left all the paid traffic to my partner. I will start doing it myself in this coming June.

To get your post viral in facebook, you need to do a lot of experiment on your post. You guess what will make it viral, then you just go on and experiment it. Lately, I've been doing some experiment myself, and the shares actually went down =0 So, now I know WHAT not to do and then avoid them in the future.

If you would like to know what you can do to increase the chance for things to go viral, the best thing is to go check out the things your friends has shared on your wall, then take a moment and think why would they share things like that.

Most of the time, you will see the BIGGEST REASON is to "EXPRESS who they are to grab attention" << I realized this last night, gonna experiment this on my next post. =)

Just register to youlikehits but was asked to put my fan page url. Moreover I have just 10 likes....meaning I'm still waiting to acquire a url. Do I have to wait until I have 30 likes or is there any tricks.

first of all do not completely depend on your facebook fan page cause it is still facebook fan page and they can take from you any time or shut down any time..

Build the facebook fan page properly with good looking cover page and good information every day.

I recommend to use facebook ads to build list and market later on. so you need to create a page inside the fan page than send the visitor to that lead capture page.. than build your list so once you build the list than you don't need to worry about your fan page.. cause you are building your list every single day and making money.
