I'm getting quite few of those emails lately, on different emails for different sites of mine that are not really related to each other

"Hi,

I am Tina White, a webmaster by profession just like you. I came across your site/blog while looking for some material for my site. I must say, you have done exemplary work on your site/blog. I would like to make you a business offer.
I am principally interested in buying a number of text-links in this post: http://domain.com/url-to-specific-post
or can buy a new post written by us with our text links in it.
Let me know if you would like to hear more of this.

Warm regards,
Tina White."

Automated link exchange emails i understand, but automated link buy emails?

One of the theories i heard (and it might seem funny at first) that this might be a way for google to test sites when in doubt, if a site really sells links.

What do you think?

To me it looks like someone trying to buy a guest post, and willing to settle for a few backlinks if they can't get that. Is it a Google conspiracy? I don't know, I guess it's possible. Looks more like someone who doesn't know how to ask for a guest post to me.

Well the thing is that they are sending the same email to 3 unrelated sites each with different emails.
Which means taht it's done on large scale.

Maybe. I get those emails from time to time for several of my websites.
