Dumb social media question

When you want to get backlinks via social media, lets say facebook or twitter, are most of you just creating a NEW account with no friends, and posting and twiitering your links, then pinging them?

Can I assume that when you see fiver gigs for social media, this is how its done.

So its basically just a cheap way to get backlinks, even though the social media content really serves no purpose, since you have no friends and followers and nobody will see it except google.

Pretty much yeah, I myself use YouTube as a resource to gain great backlinks. I have my own personal software that creates accounts, uploads videos, and automatically comments / likes them to increase the change of them being seen on YouTube / Google

Fiverr Gigs are a great short term method to increasing seo, but for long term exposure, find methods that work for you.

Do a bit of research and you should be set!

There's no harm in actually getting involved with real people on your Facebook accounts, I target groups and allow people to add me who are interested in my niche. If you lead them to your website that's more traffic for you (and maybe another customer).
