Hiya, I started commenting on blogs not so long ago but I'm quite buffled about how should I go about adding my URL. From what I see, people just write bull**** comment and post their URL just afterwords.. I noticed that almost on all blogs there's an "Your Website(Optional)" box that you can fill along with your comment and that when you do so, it links the commentor's name to the website that you put in the box.. So if I go about putting my website in the "Your Website(Optional)" box and, in my name, put my desired keyword.. it essentially becomes a bolded anchor text backlink to your site, giving you the opportunity to post a comment without seeming spammy.. Will it work? And what email should I put in the email box? should I just make up an email or put my site's email there? or even my personal email?? plz help, thanks |

For this to be effective, you will need to leave a good, on topic, comment. Don't leave comments like "Great Post!", "I agree." or "I'm subscribing to your feed." These are good ways to be marked as spam. Also see if you can figure out if the blog owner allows you to use keyword anchor text or not in the name field. Some blog owners will spam even good comments if you use something like "Discount Green Widgets" as your name while others are OK with it. Some real jerks may even spam you for your domain name even if you use your name, something I've ran into with my onlinecashgenerator.com domain. |

Hi, My suggestion for leaving comments on blogs is to always add to what the post has discussed and the thread of comments, where available. Give to receive - that's my motto! Dave |

| Yes- and the same goes here as well. If all you are going to do is post up one-line "post increasers", you're skating on thin ice- read the guidelines at the top of this forum, and you'll quickly figure out what I'm talking about... Paul? |

Unless the blog is a do follow, what's the point of including your keyword as part of your username? Like others mentioned, adding your own view/tip to the comment or mentioning that you recently did a video on the topic, might generate some clicks. |
