Have you hit the Wall? Don't give up or you may miss out on the Hot Blonde...

I've noticed a lot of threads here lately about Newbies who are having a real tough time and at the point of giving up. This is what I call the "IM Wall". We've all been there and there is only one thing you can do - break through the wall! Often people give up just before things start to happen, it's like you do so much work, reach the tipping-point but abandon your quest just before you start to see results...

Often all you need to do when you reach this point is to Stop, Take a Step Back, Assess Where your at with your Business and Analyze what you can do to improve things.

It's over 6 months ago now from when I was at this point. I had tried many different things to make money online but no matter how hard I tried or how many hours I spent at the computer I just couldn't crack the code.

Sure I was doing ok but progress was slow and hard to come by.... Thankfully all that changed when I took a weeks vacation from my work. During my normal work week I follow the same old boring routine: Get Up at 6am --> Gym --> Work 9-6 (if I'm lucky to leave by then) --> Home after 7pm

Pretty mundane schedule that I'm sure many of you can relate to... But anyway because I went to the gym at the same time each morning I saw the same old faces and did the same old workout. It was basically me and a couple of old retired guys in for their morning walk - besides that I would have the gym to myself...

But while on my week off I enjoyed a few lazy mornings and didn't hit the gym until the afternoon. I went in as normal and had my workout, but on this day something was different. As I was finishing up I noticed someone enter the gym from behind and looking in the mirror I could see them quite clearly...

Standing behind me was one of the Hotest Girls I had ever seen, to say I was surprised would be an understatement. Surprised not because I had seen a hot blonde but because in nearly 2 years of attending this gym I had never once met one.

You see I was stuck in my routine, one which I didn't dare to stray from. Because I never deviated from this I always hit the gym at the same time each morning and saw the same old dudes in for their morning walk.

But all of a sudden because I made a change the old retired dudes had been replace by a Hot Blonde

Needless to say I've tried to vary my routine since then and have met quite a few different people in and out of the gym...

But what does this have to do with Internet Marketing??
Sometimes we get stuck in a rut and we don't take the necessary time out to step back and see the bigger picture. Maybe if we did this we would be able to see how making a small change could make the world of difference to our online empires!

If you keep following the same path that isn't giving you results you will eventually hit the Wall and give up... Why not take a breather and see what you could do differently that would finally allow you to see the results that all your effort and passion deserves?

After my encounter with the Hot Blonde I took a step back and came to the realization that I needed something different... I needed to get some help.

I started to track down experienced marketers, people who had done what I wished to do. I followed them on Twitter, commented on their blogs and after a while sent them an email... Bit my bit I made myself known to them and in the end I got some help and much needed advice that I've since put to good use.

Thankfully I've manages to avoid giving up and in fact have gone on from strength to strength. I haven't achieved my end goal yet which is to Kill Off the Day Job but I do hope to achieve this by the end of 2012.

So if there are any struggling Newbies reading this or more experienced Warriors who are stuck in a rut - don't give up! Success may be just around the corner...Instead take a step back, assess where your going and seek out help/advice from others.

Do this and you may finally be able to break down the Wall and make the kind of progress that you've always wished for.
