Do You Make a ROI With Your Outsourcers & VA's?

I don't have much time on my hands and have a hard time staying motivated on a single task for a period time... so I have been contemplating hiring a VA / outsourcing assistant to do various tasks for me.

I have the money to do this but just don't want to waste it... so my main concern is if most of you that do use outsourcing do you really see an improvement in your ROI?

I see most monthly contracts for outsourcing average around $500 to $800. Can you earn this back in a months time, or does it takes many months to start seeing a ROI?

I was going to have someone make some niche sites and then create content for them. I would have them then spin / rewrite the content to be re-submitted to Associated Content and EA to get backlinks back to the sites and also to have some income come back in to offset my costs while doing this.

Can you see this working as a long term basis... create multiple sites, create content, rewrite content to submit to Assoc Content- rinse and repeat. Maybe flipping some of the sites after a few months.

my "outsourcing" happens on much smaller scale, but i see ROI. Eg. i had someone make me squidoo lenses and they rank *exceptionally* well and i am selling clickbank products there from organic traffic.

      George,

Did you have them make just then lense, or did you have them also do some backlinking back to them after they were done? Have you continued to do this... over and over again or just one time? How long did it take to start seeing some results?

I want to do this as an ongoing effort if it proves to justify the costs. It's like investing. If I can make $150 on every $100 invested I will do it over and over again all week long.

    Hey Ted,

Any outsourcing I do has always resulted in a very good ROI. However, I am very careful with who I outsource to. Frankly, I use fellow Warriors for all of my outsourcing. I have built up a personal relationship or received a recommendation from someone I trusted, before putting them to work.

What I have found is most of the Warriors appreciate a long term commitment from me to them and them to me. Over a relative short period of time, we learn each others little quirks and can adapt quickly to each other. This is extremely important to it being a successful relationship for both you and the persons you outsource too.

It is extremely important to keep your word at all times on both sides and with a open line of communication, when something happens unexpectedly. Furthermore, make sure you lay out the ground rules up front of what you expect of them and make sure they agree to the terms. However, you should leave you both a way that the agreement can be terminated in a professional business matter. I use a 30 day notice of cancellation prior to the agreement being terminated, by both of us, in order for both of us to be prepared for whatever changes we have to implement. But let's face it if they screw it up, you are the boss and you will have to fire them. Hard and fast if it comes to that.

How quick can you expect a return? That one is a bit more complicated. A lot of this is going to depend on you. Yep! You!. If you picked the right niche, right keywords, right person to outsource too, and the list goes on. But the main responsibility is yours unless you have enough money to hire an expert that can do it all for you. But just like any CEO you are going to need to know what it is about, to protect your investment.

Basically your plan is a good one and can work. You have to remember that any business can take time to get off the ground and giving you a return on your money. Then again you may be one of the good planners and show a return in your first month after the site is launched.
