I am building my first Amazon affiliate site and wanted to know where you get your images for products? I am pretty sure people are lifting them from Amazon but... I just had to ask..

I don't think it's a good idea to lift them from Amazon if you can find another source. But commercial images are going to cost something. How many different images will you need? Do they have to be of a specific product?

I plan to use some stock images from Istock for general pictures, but specific make and model pictures I am having trouble locating.

If there is an affiliate package with images, I am having trouble finding them..

    Thanks guys!

Sure you CAN just use the ones from Amazon, after all, what's the difference between that and using their code which will pull the images from the site? That's what I have always done (for the last 5 years).

With all that said, it must be in their terms and conditions, take a look in their affiliate centre.

I really don't see the problem with using the images from Amazon. They provide all sorts of code and widgets to help you to sell their products. Why would using their images to generate sales for them be a problem?

The common practice is to use the product images from Amazon only for the purpose of promoting them of course.

Out of the ways with which the Amazon API are used includes the ability to display their images.
