Yup, it works, but also, don't forget downsells, ie.

if they don't want the upsell, put a link on the page

"No Thanks, take me to download the free ebook/video"

Then on that page, you give them another offer, that is cheaper.

    This will convert as well.

On the upsell page, if they do accept it, do another one and say something like.

"Thanks, but you know what, this product that you have just bought would really go well with this application to make your life a lot easier"

Or something to that affect, make sure it's not as expensive as the other one, say, approx 50-70% cheaper, and this will convert as well, since you're now finding BUYERS, put these buyers on a seperate mailing list, cos these ppl will generally buy from you all the time.

BUT, DON'T FORGET! Give them heaps of free stuff, then send them an offer later that they will have to pay for. A related product that can aid them further in your niche.

This is one of the strategies I reveal in The Lost Blueprint.

It works extremely well, not just for getting an initial sale, but for turning your list into a BUYERS list that will make you a LOT more money in the long run.

A list of buyers can be worth 10 times a list of freebie-seekers. The more people you convert to being a buyer, and the sooner you do it, the better.

Like anything, testing is the key. One offer might get a 0% response, and another 20% or more. Sometimes a low ticket item is best, other times it's high ticket. (Depends both on your market and your goals, among other things.)

But the bottom line is the strategy works and can have a big impact when you get it cranking.

Thanks for reply. So your saying after they make that purchase try and get them to opt in again to another list, I guess thats the only way, it just seems too much after the purchase. So thats 2 emails they need to confirm them....?

No, you use your autoresponders automation feature to move them to your buyers list. There is only 1 confirmation, everything else happens in the background.

Method works well go in this order
Capture Name And Email or other information
Upsell them your best offer right off the bat
After this either have a lower cost upsell example if your first one was $97 offer one for $47
Days later try to sell them on something else. I run about 13 OTO's on my membership page which turns out many people take nearly all of them Producing over $300 per new members.
