One marketer is even giving a $10 Amazon certificate, plus a book and DVDs with free shipping! That means he's giving more (from his own pocket) than what he's getting.

Perhaps he in turn is trying to attract JV List partners to GROW his list in the process?

Whats the math on a responsive list? $1 month per subscriber? give or take.

I haven't read the book, but perhaps he gave them free publicity in the book, and they are all trying to get it to be a best seller and all reap the rewards.

Money isn't in the list, it's in building a list of people who have lists.

I'd guess he's building his list of marketers with good lists and having a good conversion level is what will get you on his list of lists. This will allow both him and his quality JV partners to clean up on the next go round.

I bet Ewen is trading promotion with the Guru.

Ewen has big ** Lists ** and he will and can promote ** a lot ** of sales for any Gurus... that's just a favor.

List Building is awesome, cash in demand and a long term business.

Simple,

There is an OTO offfer, which Im sure is converting well. Also Im sure Ewen is more than likely having a JV contest. So a marketer may be giving away more than what the book costs but they are probably recouping it back pluss much more in the commissions from the OTO and even if not its worth paying just to get onto Ewen's radar

Knowing him, I think perhaps he has spent alot of time building
rapport with all these JV partners...

Just like old friends, we are willing to do anything
for one another.

Relationship is a very important asset.

I agree with you totally.

I have learnt from another marketer
that one of the benefits to appear
as one of the top few JV partners in such BIG
launches is to help their names known
to more people (Ewen's other JV partners
who have access to the JV result page)

And this really invite more future JV
opportunities and the rewards are
plenty!

  The physical book is sold on amazon, but the OTO, which has PLR, is sold through ClickBank ( I think it's ClickBank) I bought the OTO but I don't remember using ClickBank

  See, the thing is, if you were to sell a product on Amazon for like $15, there's no way you could get big JVs to promote for you as they will earn like a few dollars from Amazon's affiliate program.
  
  But Ewen's goal was to make his book a no.1 best seller on Amazon (which he did by the way as his book is now the no.1 best seller even on Amazon's main best sellers list)
  
  Hence, in order to get big JVs to promote and offer insane bonuses like those you saw, he gets people to go back to his site and enter their Amazon receipt in order to claim a huge bonus package from himself.
  
  Of course, there are backend promotions and upsells etc and that's how JVs earn commissions.
  
  Really, the launch itself is a HUGE marketing lesson that we can all learn from. It's just an example of one ordinary man trying to think out of the box to achieve his goal. For that, he gets my utmost respect.
  
  It has been a great success despite his server being attacked and his site being down for like 36 hours. Ewen probably lost tens of thousands because of that, but it's still a massive achievement by anyone's standard.

Wow, if he is a top seller on amazon, he should have no problem getting picked up by a big publisher house here in the states.

By using this strategy, he is potentially setting himself up to be an international best seller. Are there any physical books based on IM besided yanik's?? If their are, are any of them best sellers? He is kicking in the door and making himself a player in the author category.

Thats Pretty impressive, that will open up alot of doors for him outside of this industry.
