Hi Warriors,

What do you think are the most profitable and evergreen sub niches that fall under the broad umbrella term of "Making Money Online" or "Internet Marketing"?

- traffic generation
- product creation
- list building
- SEO

What else?

Thanks!

I think you can go to traffic generation niche, list building niche, internet marketing niche (it's broader niche), email marketing niche, and selling softwares ...

You can also have sub niches of traffic generation (like PPC, mentioned by Paul Guest, above) which break down free and paid traffic. And you can have sub niches of list building (which can us either free or paid traffic).

I often wonder why so many marketers are set on selling only to other marketers. Magicians never want other magicians in their audience!

I guess most people don't realize that it is so much easier to market to non-marketers.

Magician analogy is spot on. I have experience in both, and it is definitely easier selling to non-MMO markets. I think the big draw for the MMO market is when you're helping people make money, they are *sometimes* willing to spend much larger amounts on a product than say someone who just wants to get their dog to sit on command. Of course, there are plenty of markets with big ticket items outside of MMO, I'm just saying I understand the attraction to it.

The other benefit of being in the MMO market is that you don't have to become an expert at an additional thing. Marketing in some random market means having to know about marketing AND having to know about that market.

Like I said, I agree with you, just throwing some ideas out there for consideration.

      Thanks for your comments.

With MMO niche, there are so many products that you can sell. On the other hand, how many products on "magic tricks" can you sell?

If you visit the big PLR stores like Master resell Rights, more than 80% of the PLR products are IM products. Obviously there is huge demand for it.

After all, IM is one of the most profitable niches.

I think you're missing the point though. What Brian was saying is that you don't have to sell to MMO crowd. What about the real estate agents, accountants, entrepreneurs etc, people who actually already have money to spend, rather than people who are looking to make money.

I see people on here building lists solely o the back of $7 wso's, but there's not a chance these buyers are willing to pay for big ticket items, at least not many of them. It becomes increasingly difficult to sell to these same people 2 - 3 years down the line too.

To be effective producing products for IM'ers (IMHO) you need to be active in the business yourself, so you can share your first-hand tips, techniques and strategies - not theory.

When you are involved in the business, finding topics becomes pretty simple, it's all of the things you struggle with getting started or getting to the next level.

If you really have your sights set on producing products within IM, get busy with IM and you'll do fine.

all of these are great, and IM is a big broad niche.

I find that there is a kind of ironic aspect to the make money crowd.

    WHY?

Well you are using tactics that most people know about, even newbies.

That is why the other niches that I do well in are health, wealth, and relationship niches. They are better niches, more hungry, and no so suss on the whole enter email for freebie and then follow up.

This marketing and backend seems to work better for NON I.M. Niches. I am not saying it will be for you, but it is for me.

I'm just barely starting in the MMO niche after having some success in other markets. So my question is whether you find that it's easier/better to market to complete newbies, instead of the more advanced stuff for more advanced IMers?

Yes I would say it's definitely better to aim at newbies as you'll know more than them and ultimately do a better job of teaching them. Also they probably spend more money than experienced marketers.

I agree I think if you're going into the MMO market, rather than sell to other marketers, how about:

Individuals with lifestyle desires ("I hate my job" - types)
Brand new businesses looking to setup online
Small business struggling to grow through an online presence
Small/Medium businesses hitting a growth plateau & wanting to maximise their online opportunities

Probably 80% of businesses today won't survive the next 5 years without having a solid & innovative online strategy. Surely that is a good place to start?

Plugins/software that save time! A lot of internet marketers are trying to make a living online so they have more time. If you can save them even more time, then you can earn big $$$ .
