Professional product video for less then $50 (here's how)

Hey Warriors!

You wouldn't believe how many people asked me who created the video I used for one of my products.. Instead of answering every one of them in private, I'll just post it here publicly so I can refer them to this topic

Instead of hiring someone to build your video from scratch, you should buy a pre-made template from VideoHive (= Envato marketplace) and customize it to your needs. All you need to do is edit some texts and change the colors. Since there are a lot of videos that wouldn't be of much use for your product, I compiled a short list with some recommendations:

If you're not sure how to change these templates, you'll probably be able to find someone at Fiverr to do it for you.

Next you'll need a professional voiceover. There are plenty of these on Fiverr, which means that for only $5 or $10 you can add a professional voice-over to the video.

Total costs: $25 - $40

Have a great day!

Wilco

Wow that is a great resource indeed! I have a friend that is doing the same kinda thing right now, but with a little bit of a difference.

Videos are big $$, and using the templates you mentioned and even a good voice over you could charge a lot more than what you are paying.

A great thing about Envato is when you sign up, they send you a monthly email with free stuff.

Envato owns/operates all the following, so each month you get a freebie from each:
    ActiveDen
    AudioJungle
    ThemeForest
    VideoHive
    GraphicRiver
    3DOcean
    CodeCanyon
    Tuts+ Marketplace

    PhotoDune

Great tips Wilco de Kreij, most videos from VideoHive look very professional and it's a better way to present your business rather than some spammy looking Animoto videos.

If you use After Effects, Sony Vegas, or other video editing software you can usually find free templates by going on YouTube and typing:

    "free after effects template 2012"

(replace after effects with your editing software name, you can also try variations of this for more results)

These are some nice templates. I use camstudio and powerpoint without major images, and it gets me pretty good traffic. I don't want to make the powerpoint file too big though... because on some document sharing sites, my file size is just too large. So i stick the basic layout. Great share though!

Of course, for the best ones you need Adobe AfterEffects, which is expensive as hell. You can get a 30 day trial but I burned that a long time ago.

Thanks, I myself own After Effects and I always use templates from videohive for my promo videos. It has to be one of the best kept secrets in video marketing, though more and more people are starting to catch on, so it's not that much of a secret anymore!

Wilco, that is an AWESOME suggestion. The cost of video production is almost always cost prohibitive for most starting marketers - on, and offline. This is the kind or ingenuity that makes forums like the Warrior Forum worth WAY more than most people can comprehend. This just shows that, with a little bit of software, knowhow, and a small budget, a marketer with a small budget can get a HUGE head start.

Also, if "doing it yourself" is not your thing, you may wish to consider BWEMonthly.com. We can also get you super high quality productions for under $50 bucks. The only difference being that we do the work for you. :-)

Again. AWESOME post, Wilco. The "Forum" needs more people like you sharing their concepts, ideas, and processes.

If you're in a tighter budget, you can get someone from Fiverr who already has the template. More so, the gig includes customization for you. Checkout the gigs there and a lot of animations are templates from Videohive. I got a professional looking logo reveal for a grand total of $10.
