what's my domain worth to a music blogger?

Hey,

I know not everyone will buy any domain name with a good sales pitch.

However, I have a good domain.... www. new-songs .info

Very general and still rank-able.

Is there any value you guys could place on this domain at a glance? I'm thinking I want to get a hundred bucks offf it and keep it moving.

Decided not to develop after the oDesk fail (see my other post).

what's thoughts?

    .info domains really don't sell high... BUT... it's worth what you can get. I just don't see anyone spending anything on it until you can build value to a website instead of just the domain name.

    You can not get a 'new songs' domain of any form anytime soon however

    like 70k+ unique searches on google alone

    Seems like an okay site. It is hard to tell, but it can be ranked well with more than several backlinks to get it ranking for more keywords. I am sure that it could cost for more than $100 if you sell it well.

    new-songs is available in pretty much most domain name extensions still. Quick glance shows all European extensions (apart from .de) almost everything in asia and a great deal in America still.

    Why would anybody want a .info for a high amount when they have that full range available?

      Yeah I just tried to sell a similar domain name (pictureeditor.biz) on a 7-day GoDaddy public auction. I even added a couple category listings and not only did I get no bids, I got no views whatsoever (even within a related category).

      I wasn't expecting much of course, but with 201,000 exact-match global searches I thought I'd get $30 or so. I did it more as a test because it was my first listing, but I guess I'll have to build a site and some links to get a little traffic going first.

      This seems kind of similar to your domain because it's not a premium extension but has potential. I was hoping the potential would get some some quick cash but didn't work out as I planned. thinking about it again, maybe I should have paid to make it a premium listing, which might have gotten me some views at least (might not have gotten any bids though so who knows).

      Not sure if that helps but if you figure out a good way to sell it let us know.
