Ezine Articles any use?

Hi,

I'm just wondering is Ezine Articles of any use these days. I submitted my articles to them and they sure are taking a very LONG time to approve them. In fact, I sent them a couple of emails asking about my articles, and they never even bothered to reply.

I've been in Ezine Articles for a relatively long time, and from what I can see, there is discrimination between different editors. Some guy's article might be construed as spammy even though it is really toned down and is not spammy at all, while another one that is clearly spammy might not...they don't stick to whatever "guidelines" they may have. This is just my experience and observation.

I just wonder if they (EzineArticles) hold any relevence any more, because from what I can see the search engines are no longer placing so much weightage on these article sites anymore, and I am expecting them to place even less weight in the coming days. Also, these article sites are basically getting spammed (for want of a better word) the hell out of daily, by an army of newbies, mass submitters and so forth...

I know some of you might still say that EA and such article sites still carry some relevance, but I wonder how much and for how long?
