Information Overload Advice. Does this happen to you..

I have been getting alot of emails about information overload in the last few months from students asking me how I deal with it.

So thought I would share what I wrote in response.

Food for thought:

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

You know what I am sick of.

Well I'll tell you. Always hearing people say this training is to overwhelming.

Seriously. How can training be too overwhelming.

Think about it like this.

Your learning like when you were in
High School.

You had to go to 8 different classes a day to learn, math, science, English etc, etc, but did you complain to your teacher that this is too overwhelming

No you didn't, you either didn't pay attention in school or you busted your butt off learning.

Its the same thing with Internet Marketing.

Its like taking a bunch of classes.

You have blogging, list building, traffic techniques and so on.

Its impossible to be so overwhelmed from learning. Open your brain a bit and use the other 5% or so of your brain for a change.

You know what is overwhelming.

Is being in so many programs and affiliate offers you don't know which one to promote and your stuck promoting all of them which leads to non productivity.

Stick with one program and do good at it.

You can't be in several and do good. Its totally impossible.

I mean if you owned a bar you wouldn't go open 4 more and run it yourself would you.

Of course not. It be disastrous.

So my point is learning can never be overwhelming its all the affiliate programs your in that is overwhelming you and honestly, you being in all these programs overwhelms me watching you promote all this crap.

So stick with one thing and concentrate on it.

Do good and build your business foundation the correct way.

You can disagree all you want but I know from experience so if you have a rebuttal to this ask yourself this.

How much money are you making online right now!!!

Any other advice and comments on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

-Craig

Great point Joseph. Thanks for your input. I think that is the biggest problem is the required work

Nice post Craig! Here is my take on the situation

If you look at the forum as a newbie you will come across a lot of threads (WSOs) that read like "Make $400 in 3 Hours by Tomorrow". Imagine how that would look to the uninitiated. People who have gone through the rigor can understand what that headline above means but not the newbie. The newbie takes up the offer, waits for one week without any results (may be because the $5 WSO does not provide the missing link that only the blessed know of ) only to take steps that will further entangle him.

Probably what a newbie needs to realize and accept is that the statement might be true but it may well be a small part of the bigger piece. Chances are the person who gives such a bold statement has put in an enormous amount of effort to build systems which allow him to generate $400 in 3 hours today.

        Cheers

There are so many people out there who seem to have this illusion that there IS a "secret" or "magic pill" you can take and instantly be rich and have a successful business.

It seems to skip that nasty 4 letter word called WORK and lots of it.
If you want to waste time, go buy lotto tickets and pray you win.

If you really want to build a business, be successful and make money, understand it IS work and time and effort and money but it's worthwhile in the end if you do it right.

Thanks for chiming in there. I think the problem with being new.

There not really sure the full meaning of taking action. I mean even some of these courses give you the strategy but don't really explain the details you need to fill in the beginning gap.

Alot of times you get a PDF with 45 pages of bull just to find the strategy at the last 4 pages of the book.

So it can be hard to implement. I think most newbies get distracted at trying to make the million dollars overnight they totally lose focus of actually having to do something.

Right on Laurence. I remember years back the 4 letter word (Work) Was like a cuss word to me. lol

I think the problem is a combination of so many different offers shouting "Make $500 a day... only 2 hours per day required" yada yada yada. When you see so many of these offers, one does really believe it's possible and it is! But as you said, it's missing that secret ingredient.

Then you have some "shady" training programs that aren't genuine and effective as they could.

I'm kind of new at internet marketing and am currently unemployed, so I agree Craig... this is now my full-time job... learning!

    Well said.

I must admit with so many courses out there teaching people how to make money can be overwhelming for newbies.
