I've got a family member who is a novice to earning income. Writing isn't his niche, but he'll do it if he needs to. I'd like to get him started on a good newbie program. Idea's and suggestions would be appreciated.

You can recommend him to start off with affiliate marketing and resources from Ewen Chia and Chris Rempel are great for him to start.

I would suggest that you start off by referring him to this forum, there are plenty of ideas here. James |

i'm not familiar w/ moreniche -- i'll check it out - he's an absolute newbie, he can navigate the internet, but he has never done business online, and is an older man, some what set in his ways, but willing to learn. as far as i know, he's never built a website, and he's not the most inclined writer, but i'd help w/ that to start w/. he's family. for the newest of new to the internet, what do i say to him? suggest to him? what requires the least technical skills? or has the best support and simplest to follow how to system? |

More and more I'm becoming a fan of The Kickstart Course from Tony Shephard and Sarah Brown. It's 12 months of weekly lessons, and it starts out at a good pace for beginners. If he follows the weekly tasks, he'll have a product on CB in just over a month-they do a great job with the step by step instructions. Hope that helps. Best Regards, Kevin |

Does he want to read some ebooks and learn about some niches? I have a few I could email you for free... sharing is always good. Also, if he wants to build a website, there is a great product that I recommend on my website under "Recommended" called SiteSell... you could also Google it if you don't want to check it out on my site... Some other great information would be Mike Dillards Magnetic Sponsoring (123tothetop.com) if he is interested in getting involved in a network marketing company and would like to learn how to generate leads online then that would be a good product. I bought it and have used it in my business... I really like the information you get with that. But as always, those are just resources that may or may not be benefitial to what he wants to do. Whatever you do help him write down his reason "Why" before he starts looking around at a ton of affiliate products. The worst thing that could happen is that he gets all jacked up reading all the sales letters and capture pages and starts spending a ton of money and then gets information overload, freaks out and then decides that business online is not for him. That would be a mistake. There are so many niches that if he writes down some ideas of what he wants BEFORE he starts looking around online, he will have a better chance at being successful. Hope that helps. |

First thing first, get your own domain and hosting. It feels good the first time you see your domain live on the internet and you really start to get a lot of ideas.

i plan on providing him w/ his hosting and helping him set up a very simple first site. i just need to get a feel for what is available to some one who is a babyboomer, not new entirely to computers but brand new to IM - i've started to work on some list of questions for him to start thinking about. he wants to have something coming in when he retires in about 5-10yrs (he's not certain when) thank you for the advice... it has given me something to jump from |

Another good one would be Site Build It. It walks you through every step of building an online business. Sounds like that would be great for him. It's not too heavy, but if he wants it to be he can really get into it.
