Quick Question Looking For A Wordpress Plugin Or Tool That Will Upload Long Video's Any Suggestions?

Video's that are fifteen minutes or longer.

I know Youtube has the capabilty on their site, but I do not want to upload my video's to Youtube. I want to upload them directly to my blog using Wordpress.

Any suggestions on how to upload longer video's on your blog with my current set up? They will not upload due to the length of them.

Helpful tools to get the job done and I don't care if it is paid or free all suggestions welcome.

Thanks in advance and I hope everyone had a happy Memorial day weekend .

You just don't want to use YouTube, or don't you want to use any of these kind of services (e.g. Vimeo etc)?

And do you want your users' to upload them, or only yourself?

I'd host the videos on Amazon S3 (= cheap). If you're looking for an open source video player, have a look at 23+ Useful HTML5 Open Source Online Video Players & Libraries, - Ntt.cc.

    Good luck!

You need to do two things:

    1) PROPERLY convert the video into the right format
    2) Use Amazon S3

    Here are some details:

    - Download this software HandBrake

    - Convert your video to MP4 format and select "web optimized" so that all necessary info to stream the file is loaded at the front of the file. Convert using "constant quality" setting and experiment with values between 24-28 (20 = no compression). See what gives you acceptable video quality while still being small.

^------ The advice I've just given here will save everyone a LOT of hassle!

Next - using Amazon S3 is an obvious way to make sure the file loads as fast as possible.

I'm using this exact method with my 60 minute automated webinar. Loads perfectly.
