Has anyone ever developed a FAP Clone?

I suspect one is lurking out there or at least SOMEONE has pondered doing this.

FAP - Free Agent Path

Circa 2005/6

Developer: Mark Joyner

Logic: FAP was a server script that created a downline builder and training community for MULTIPLE network marketing opps. (not quite sure why it collapsed - picking the right NWM opps can be very tricky)

Cool features:

1. The usual FOF/SOU (fear of loss, sense of urgency) downline and notification architecture

2. Invite/uninvite/manage up to 12-member mastermind alliance

3. User-to-user support system (rarely requiring admin to get involved)

4. Ability to email your downline WITHOUT divulging email addys, just like the big listbuilders

More goodies I'm sure (memory fails me)

I've already built some of this logic (ran on postnuke), but never ported to a more current CMS like Drupal or Joomla.

But the time has come, as I'm hard at work on a modern (generic, anyone can use) Attraction-marketing-based lead funnel weapon.

That will be so cool and awesome. Network marketing has to move on with new paradigm of Internet and Social Marketing.

My concern though is do you have a hungry market out there or do you need to create a sales force or your own network marketing to market your Script.

My sense of Net Work Marketing industry is that most do not endure long enough to be successful and are not a good market for new and sophisticated technology.

But going after top rung and Successful Network Marketers and promoting to them would be a market to target.

It might be a good idea to do a bit of market research to find level of interest. Survey monkey can help. Or Google ADWord campaign (small) with key words around which net work marketers flock may be a good place.

Last thing we want is to create a super product and then struggle to sell just like most network marketing companies.

    Hope it helps. God speed.

    Thanks for the tips, Virender.

This will be an open source extension, NOT a profit center. While it's in development, it will benefit my team only. Once it's released, things will get, uh, interesting.

If it's well-received, I'll start on other open source extensions (such as a full-blown IM back office), which I believe is sorely need in the IM space.

The open source CMS world have given me a LOT. Time to give back.
