Or does Aweber make life difficult on purpose.

All I want to do is send out an email to my list, not too much to ask is it.

Be nice if I didnt have to traverse all the goobldygook and images etc they insist you page through before you can actually write something

    Well, they used to keep it quite simple, but ever since they released the new email editor they complicated it.. I'd like to have my old editor back!

      I think it's the fact that they pre-populate the thing with lorem ipsum example crap.

      Maybe there's a way to tell them to stop that, then you can just throw in a "paragraph" block and get typing. All this new-fangled technology, eh?!

      Then again, I remember having to count in 16's to get computers to do anything

    I miss the old editor as well :/ I always click the button to go back to the old format. Hoping enough of us complain so they bring back the old style only.

    It's cumbersome, awkward and slow. After you write you emails you need to view another two pages I think to tell if you want link tracking and the date you want to send your email.

    A royal pain in the butt.

    I didn't realize you could revert back to the old version. That little tip was well worth the price of the thread on it's own.

    Okay, well not that long but I swear by it and don't know how people put up with Aweber! And no, I'm not affiliated to them.

    I agree with michaeljcheney . Ive always wondered why Aweber gets so much credence? It wasn't so long ago that warriors were complaining about their high bounce rate. One complained of his bounce rate jumping to 8% . I steer clear of them.

    Their biggest competitor is constantcontact. Well truthfully, CC is actually bigger than aweber.

    The CC editors have looked somewhat similar to the "new" aweber editor for a long time.

    Personally, I think aweber made a mis-step on this one. Most aweber clients send text or very plain html messages. Whereas the CC customers are generally bigger companies with branded names that like to look more flashy. You just don't see many internet marketers sending really flashy html email messages. We have tested them, and for the most part they don't convert as well to our clients.

    I wonder why they do not ask customer feedback. A simple box with two options on that page - "Do you like this new layout... yes/no" would do wonders!

    I suppose in a way they have the ultimate product because once you're on there, got your optin pages and have a list up and running with them you're unlikely to jump ship right? :-) It's great to be one of the big boys but they have to be more responsive to customers.

    Most companies give us time to use the new format and let us click to use the old format. But one day, they will phase out the old system and force their users to the new system.

    I hope that day never comes with Aweber, although I am not too optimistic.

    I would hate to say that I would leave if they force me to the new editor, but I might just have to give them up if they force the change.

    I don't like the new editor either, but you can still use the old one, there should be a link that looks like this... Looking for the previous follow up editor? I had instances where you have to go back to the top of the menu and hit follow up messages for it to show.
