Autoblogging?

I own a few Amazon autoblogs that are profitable. However, they are only a small portion of my monthly income.

Yes the autoblogging still works well, but only for pros. I'll try to make it clear by categorizing the autobloging scripts. There are:

1) free open source plugins for everyone;
2) premium easy in use plugins for newbies;
3) professional plugins for experienced autoblogges only (PHP is a must).

The one and only difference between mainstream premium and professional professional software is that premium software does not allow to extend and transform itself like you want. I.e. the premium software intended for beginners is like a safe harbor which does protect you against storms and sharks but doesn't allow you to enter the open sea.

I haven't said it's bad. In fact it's the best solution for a newbie, which lets the one perform one of a few predefined tasks with a couple of mouse clicks. E.g. Wanna have an Amazon blog? Just enter your Amazon id here, select a few options there and click that button. It's a very cool feature to start with. But when you grow, you need something more than these predefined tasks.

This is why autoblogging is dead for 90% of webmasters that consider themselves as autobloggers and why it's still works well (actually works even better because there are much less competitors) for the rest 10%.

P.S. Autoblogs are still good for Amazon, but I would NEVER suggest to use them with Adsense however.

I've never monetized auto blogs but used them for backlinking. They have worked pretty well in the past but more mine seem to have lost their effectiveness in Google at least.

I use autoblog software only on 1 site - it gets traffic and makes some money from advertising
