What is the Best mix of ads

I have recently helped a customer launch a new forum AJ Forum. As you can see, at the moment he has included a 160 x 600px and a 180 x 150px ad to the site. We do have the option of changing the 180 x 150 to a 160 x 600px but is it better to have a bit of a mix of ad sizes?

Just wandered what you would do? Also is it worth adding a banner to the top or would this be overkill? Thanks guys.

For me, personally speaking, I like a page to be very specific and any ads which appear on it, I'd want to be specific to what the page content is about.

I'd just opt for a few in the main areas that get click throughs - I'm not a massive fan of ads all over the page and from experience, I find that too many ads distract customers anyway.

Again, just my personal opinion and what I've learned over the years - hope it helps.

Yes, I agree with Jane, the ad placement is not as important as the relevance to the page content.

If placement is an issue and you want to get better conversions...I read on another WF post that the OP was having huge success with relevant banner ads placed directly below the related content. (not surprising really)

I checked out the site/forum and none of the ads seemed related to the forum topic or discussion. Example: a skyscraper hosting ad in a discussion of business legal issues (does Legalzoom have an aff program?)

    Good luck with the project!
