I use PayPal. As a buyer at least, everything works out great. I know how many people lament them from the sellers side; but that is a different issue altogether.

I've used all four, and I prefer ClickBank by far, out of those.

I can use a credit-card and it's trivially easy, completely secure, and I get a no-questions-asked, 60-day, money-back guarantee which I completely trust and know to be 100% reliable. In addition to all my credit-card rights. Hard to beat that?

(Google Checkout is the one I like least, out of those. That's actually the only payment processor - not just including those four - that's ever caused me a real problem).

I guess, for me personally, I prefer something that doesn't require an account to be created. I suppose that puts me in the ClickBank & (ugh) PayPal camps.

I certainly prefer using PayPal, but I don't mind if I have to take my credit card out and pay directly for a product, as long as the site looks reputable enough. I'd actually prefer paying the site directly with a credit card directly rather than using Amazon or Google checkout.

Nowadays it's so easy to get setup with credit card processors like Stripe or Samurai I'm surprised more sellers don't take credit cards directly.

My favourite payment processor is Moneybookers(Skrill), but they are not widespread as much as Paypal, so I use Paypal when I have to. Skrill and PP are the easiest and safest processors and I wont use anything beside them.

Don't worry MacMan. I'm still waiting on approval from ClickBank on them so I can have that in my back pocket to be able to offer when necessary.

Outside the Clickbank marketplace, what he said ^^^^^.

Within CB, I use a regular credit card.

Haven't used the other two enough to form an opinion...

if your market is the IM niche, you pretty much have to work with paypal or face loosing a percentage of your sales. Of course you can use paypal indirectly by using CB.

for other niches, I have actually seen several instances where using paypal as the primary option hurt sales. For years, i operated in various niches in the finance sector.

In that niche, paypal looks cheap and will hurt sales by a good bit from my experience.

Also, this is one of those questions where the responses will likely be different than the behavior of people. In this forum, you will likely get a higher percentage of paypal haters than actually exist in real world practice.

Many of the PP haters like to hate PP, but they are quick to buy stuff with their PP monopoly money.

Its long been established that people spend more when using credit cards than when using cash. For many, PP actually goes one step beyond CC in that regards. Its almost looked at as "play money".

I always prefer to pay via Credit card, Not going through E-Wallets etc. This way, if a seller is a scammer, or whatever, i can simply charge back.

Paypal, i have had issues with in the past, but lately, they seem fine on big withdrawls and transactions, but i wont ever trust them fully ever again. I tend to use Regnow and others that take the money to their paypal first, thus limiting any risk to my account and income .

    Regards

Never had a problem with paypal... from either side of the transaction.

I typically just click away from a non-paypal transaction. My wallet is usually downstairs and I am often unwilling to walk downstairs to get a card... Seems like a huge inconvenience.... particularly when everytime I hear someone complaining about paypal "unfairing" against them ... it turns out that they were not nearly so innocent as they originally claimed. After a while... I find myself doubting anyone who doesn't use them.... Yes, I am probably being unreasonable... but there you go!

      cheers,
      chris

I love to use paypal to buy stuff online. However, I'm starting to notice that it's quicker to withdraw money from amazon payments then paypal. I would probably use amazon payments a lot more if I could.

I use PayPal. Every digital purchase I've made online has offered PayPal as a payment method. It just requires a few clicks and I'm done - it's a pretty mindless process. I'm more likely to make an impulse purchase if checkout doesn't require jumping through hoops.
