Who's Got The Highest Twitter Pagerank?

I just noticed that Twitter pages have Google Page Rank.

I have seen some prominent Warriors (thousands of followers) with zero pageranks and complete unknowns like Jayxtreme () with a PR of 4.

So two questions really. Who has the highest Twitter Page Rank and any theories about how Google allocates it to Twitter?

Well as with most PR's, i assume it's decided on the quality of backlinks?

I.e. If John has a PR of 1 and knows Fred, who has a PR of 5... and Fred does a lot of @Replies to John, that will be linking on the public timeline (and his page of PR5) to John's page, increasing the PR rank of John's slightly.

If lots of people do this, it would have a significant effect on PR.

So basically -> More communication from top members = more PR.

    That's my theory anyway

      James,

That's what I thought, but there are some real big names with lots of followers who are zero. Maybe they are penalized for growing too fast?

Sorry, edited my above post with more info. Clicked 'Save' by mistake (i'm too tired) >_<

And the big names with a PR of zero may not communicate as much as those with a high PR, based on my theory anyway.

I'm mortified, Martin. Just when I thought I was a hep cat, my dreams...shattered.

Or maybe I should tweet more?

Well done, Jamie! Gis a link!

erm...by the way, totally off topic...

There's no relationship between followers and page rank - PR is all about links.

If you promote your twitter profile you'll get PR, if you don't you can get thousands of followers without PR.

I don't promote mine and only have just over 2000 followers and PR4.

It's all meaningless in my opinion.

Evan Williams' Twitter page has PR-7 (don't know if it's 'highest')

Mine is PR-5, btw - Twitter / drmani

Andy's explanation sounds logical, though internal links may be
more plentiful for those with more followers and activity on Twitter.

    All success

A lot of people make a big deal about getting a high PR on their Twitter page, but I could care less. I don't really think it matters much.

When you check your page rank, make
sure you use http:// and not https://

Anyway.. PR is just a number
