Personally, I would use a different solution if I was only going to sell 10 products as opposed to 10,000 products. The set up for either can vary drastically and so can the shopping cart architecture and performance. Then there's the factor of the type of products you are going to sell. Some carts are specifically built for digital downloads while others don't handle it well. Then there are carts that can do good on both fronts. Last but not least, there is the cost factor. So, there are few things to consider before moving forward regarding the choice of cart.

2- With autoresponder, an important factor would be the number of subscribers you have on your list or a ball park number you anticipate catering to in the future. An equally important factor is to be clear about how much, and how frequently you want to connect with your subscribers. Do you wish to just send a thank you email after a purchase, or do you wish to methodically drip content as part of your big marketing picture? Dripping content is powerful (if you have useful content to drip) and should be taken into consideration.
