New Movie Should Help Promote QR Codes In U.S.

I just watched this movie trailer about an upcoming movie based on advertising. There are QR Codes everywhere. The movie looks really futuristic/sci-fi.

Hopefully it will increase the traffic to my QR Code Shirt site:

  • The problem I believe QR codes suffer from is you need to take a picture to basically do what a web address does. Why not just give me the address. I don't want to take a picture and my laptop won't let me even if I did.

I mostly agree. I don't really use QR Codes much in my own advertising.

Not all of the shirts I have made for customers have been for URLs. Some are funny/stupid jokes.

Some of the shirts I have printed that have URLs are not URLs you would have remembered if somebody told them to you, or remembered if you saw them on a shirt. Try to imagine remembering something like an Amazon affiliate link after reading it on a shirt or any other type of advertisement. It's much easier to just "take a picture of it" with your phone.

Which is easier? Opening a browser and typing a long web address? Or simply taking a photo and it takes you to a website? QR Codes were meant for mobile devices such as phones not laptops.

errrr this is "They Live" re-hashed with Russian money.
Looks like typical propaganda about the west.
Rather like disinformation this will bolster the populist view that the west is evil.
Bet John Carpenters version still kicks it's crack as well.
