Blog or squeeze page?

Hey everyone.

I have just finished creating a 5 part video course on a niche I am in, and was going to set up a blog instead of a traditional squeeze page. But I have some concerns.


How easy is it to set up an opt-in form for a blog?

I have seen a couple of blogs with opt-in forms on them so I know it can be done.

How easy is it to put video on a blog?
Again I have seen videos on blogs but they were youtube videos. can I put a video on my blog without first putting it on youtube?

See I have a 5 part video course, with a 45 second "commercial" video. The commercial video I will put up on youtube and other sharing sites. but the actual 5 part video course I don't want to for obvious reasons.

Also the front page of blogs keep changing every time you make a blog post. How would I stop this from happening so when people show up at my blog my 45 second "commercial" video is always on the front page. But I can still make posts also.


And do you guys think that having other stuff like blog posts on the same page would distract from people opting in?

Or would the information on my blog page help convert people to opt-in?

That is about it for now. lol

    You can always set up a pages in the blog so that the page will not keep changing (unless you update/change it). There is a plugin for wordpress that allow opt-in, it's easy to use but i have forgetten the plugin name. Uploading video is easy too, just add media and stuff.

    The advantage of having a blog than a sqeeze page is that you can update/provide consistent information for your visitor. Eventually, you can get a better ranking in google because of your content. Hope it helps
