Youtube Channels or Youtube video pages?

First, a suggestion. If you use Youtube videos to promote your business, I've discovered a smart way to get high Youtube rankings. Youtube likes seeing the main search words in the title TWICE. Use variations. For example; "Cosmetic Dentistry:Cosmetic Dentist Talks About Tooth Decay". If you use the keyword variations, Youtube ranks the video higher. Google doesn't rank it higher but Youtube will. Anyway...

When sending links to Youtube; Is it better to send the links to the Youtube channel, or to each individual video page?
In other words, do Channel links pass on linkjuice to the videos on the channel page? Presently, I'm linking to both the channel pages and individual video pages. But I'm not sure which is better for Google rankings.
Anyone know? I've dragged Google for answers..but nothing I can find.

Good question I always send links to the youtube video, or if I have one I send it to a youtube playlist instead.

Can't really say which one is better though unfortunately.

was just googling this question myself lol.

my experience so far has been if you are ranking one youtube video
it in turn helps rank all the other videos on your youtube channel.

obviously it doesn't give the other videos as bigger boost ranking wise.

Whether channel ranking vs individaul ranking goes I don't know either without doing a split test?

You would be better off building links to each individual video page because most of the time each video should be optimised for a different keyword term.

And also it looks more natural if you link to the actual video because if someone likes a video and wanted to tell their friends by posting it on a blog or forum they would generally link directly to the video rather than the Channel.

Also remember to diversify your anchor text when building links to youTube videos as this helps.

You can hit your channel with some backlinks if it is a niche specific channel as this wouldn't hurt but for overall backlinking strategy it is a lot easier to rank a video than it is to rank a channel.

Good advice: After I posted this question, I did a ton of research, and bought several Offers on this Forum teaching Youtube techniques and using other tools to help in Youtube.

Yup, the individual video will have a different search phrase for a title and should be optimized for that title (including text links and on site comments).

I'm very surprised at how quickly a video channel or even a single video can get a PR 4 with enough views, comments, linking, etc.

I see that adding a video to a real active and high ranking channel makes getting the video ranked much faster.

And you are right, I get videos embeded...but not channels. It seems pretty obvious..after the fact. Thanks guys, for the help.

Youtube ranking is most helpful for traffic generating than Google ranking. BTW but you want to increase the google ranking for your Video then you have to optimized your exact video link not channel link. Channel link won't increase your search engine ranking for specific video.

That is great advice. Thanks for sharing. Will try this out and see if it really works.

You can pretty much do both. Either way will work out. You can even test to see which one works fro YOU. While one strategy may work well for one person, it may not work for another.

I learn something new here everyday. I did not know about the effectiveness with putting the keyword twice.

Thanks, but I would change the keyword slightly the second time it's written in the title. Like; Dentist and Dentistry. Youtube loves it, and it doesn't look spammy.
