You need to check the T&C of the ad services you're using to see if you can drive straight to an affiliate program link. Although most ad programs are less picky about the landing page than Google Adwords you still need to be certain on this point.

You should remember that ad programs are far less targeted than PPC so you'll get a far smaller click through rate. If Google Adwords don't suit you look at PPC on other networks. Yahoo and Bing both do PPC. Also look at PPC on Facebook and even on sites like Plenty of Fish .com

Cold traffic from ad banners etc will hardly ever buy on the first landing on a website so if you can you should seriously consider driving all your traffic to a landing page to collect name and email of the traffic that opts in. That way you can market to them over and over again and have several chances to sell your affiliate products. Aweber can host your landing page for you so you don't have to be bothered (at least in the beginning) with websites and hosting accounts... and you can still build your list.

A couple of things you need to make sure of. You should already have a winning product and landing page. You need to closely match up the offer to the traffic. Also you need to keep a tight hold of your budget and axe the losers ASAP.

It's a 'try it and see' kind of game. Don't expect big success right out of the gate.

If money is that tight I would try forum marketing or even articles to begin with. Both are free and you can market away until you find an offer that gets good conversion, and you have your first sales in the bag.

Here's the good news: you don't need any money to have a website.

You can get Wordpress software (from Wordpress.org) free of charge.

You can can get hosting free of charge (000WebHost.com and Byethost.com are just two examples of reliable, well-established, secure, free hosting without any advertising from the host on your pages).

Or you can get free sites with a built-in site-builder, at places like Weebly, Yola and Blinkweb. Nothing to pay. No credit-card needed.

(I'd strongly advise you to stay away from Blogger, Squidoo, HubPages and Wordpress.com, because of their terms of service and many other problems explained in great detail in many other threads here, but there are enough places to put up free sites of your own, without needing those).

Here's the bad news: trying to start off in affiliate marketing without a website is venturing into something with a pretty low overall success-rate and then further profoundly stacking the deck against yourself, on top of that. It's not completely impossible to get started successfully or beneficially, that way, but it's extremely unlikely. It's putting yourself under an enormous handicap compared with your competitors, of whom there'll be many. It's going to be very difficult to make more than the occasional semi-random sale without a website, and even the "learning experience" of trying that and failing is of pretty limited value to any more successful attempts you might make in future. Sorry - not what you wanted to hear.

Before posting any affiliate links to anywhere always check the terms and condition because now a days people don't like to see affiliate links and the company as well..

Why you need to post your affiliate links to this kind of websites, build your own website and start writing content on your website and track your website and see how many people coming to your website and than promote your affiliate link over there, no one will ask any question to you. In your website you can do anything you like..

But you need to learn the process before building your own website, get a good mentor who can teach you like from where to start and where to continue all the time..I hope this helps you..

Another option is to use Blogger (free) which ranks high and very quickly in Google. Also try bit.ly as a url shortener for your affiliate link and it also tracks your clicks.

As explained above, and in countless other threads, this is an option to be avoided, because of Blogger's terms of service - to avoid all the "accidents" which so many Warriors have so often encountered. It gains you nothing. It's "downside only" compared with the better choices described above.

As you can see from all the countless threads like this one and this one.

      This is incorrect, Kristie.

Using Blogger confers no SEO advantage at all. It's right out of the Urban Myth School of Internet Marketing. It's simply untrue. Sorry.

Again, as the options go, this would be a particularly poor choice. As so many Warriors have learned, sometimes to their great cost. First, many people are simply (and understandably) unwilling to click on a bit.ly link at all. Secondly, it makes absolutely no sense at all to let your business be unnecessarily dependent on the continued availability, goodwill, reliability and terms of service of a (Libyan!) third-party service which you can never control yourself, when there are so many other, better, more realistic and even free alternatives available.

Yes of course.. I have done it too.

I direct link my ads on a website, that I found through BuySellAds, with WSO products.

Also... if you promote affiliate products, you could not advertise it on Adwords. They will ban you. Adwords is close for affiliates.

But, based on my experience, it's better to have a website/ squeeze page to promote affiliate products. With a website, you could collect emails first, build the list, so you can promote a product multiple times. The conversion is higher in this way.

You need to check with each program's terms and conditions to see if they allow this.

2nd, if you are not able to spend money on pay per click for example then you are setting yourself up for failure. I really do think that paid ads can get you the most bang for your buck. With free advertising and promotions, you don't know if it will ever work for you or not.

      Really?

I'm ever so glad that nobody tried to tell me that when I started. I might even have made the mistake of believing them, and that would have been bad news indeed.

But if that's true, it's strange that so many thousands of internet marketers have managed to make a living so successfully without ever doing any paid advertising at all, isn't it? :p

Just take a look at the big picture first

It is all about picking a niche, picking the offer(s), researching for the long-tails, building a site, writing relevant contents, putting the offers on your site, backlinking your site, getting traffic from other sources, being patient, and being passionate to always keep learning and more importantly TESTING (even after it fails, which means you're getting closer to there)

The point is to treat it as a real (and fun) business, in which you should be passionate to learn and TEST everything to get yourself there!

What will you be/were you doing after/before all these answers?

Waiting for the answers or learning and taking action already?

If it's the latter, you're gonna get there in no time!

Wish you nothing less than success

The majority of the offers out there will allow you to drive traffic directly to the offers lander but check with your affiliate manager first. Almost every single one of our offers allows traffic to be directed to the lander.

The whole thing about affiliate marketing is promoting a product without the actual need of a website. However, it is a good idea to have one, especially a review site, where you will be able to post honest reviews of a number of products in the same niche. You would have already read above that you can create a free site with free hosting.

Banner ads on buysellads are great - though I have not personally used them, I hear from others that it can bring in some revenue. However, I am not sure how much you will make, though that remains the case for any way you wish to promote the product. I had a bad experience with Breezeads - I placed a few ads on there with a clickmeter link, and found that a fair number of clicks were non-unique or bots. Buysellads has a good reputation, and is recommended by many.

Be prepared to lose a fair bit of money before you start seeing any money in your account - banner ads are not cheap, and I hope you break even and make at least a small profit that you could re-invest in further advertising.

Adwords do not accept affiliate links, and as far as I am aware, even facebook does not allow it. It seems to be the trend now with social networking that it is difficult to post a cloaked hop link to promote a product. It would have been an easy way to sell and make cash, but then, nothing worth having in this life comes easy eh?

I wish you all the very best. Its a tough road ahead, and persistence and determination (along with patience) will most certainly get you to your goals of being successful as an affiliate marketer.
