What are your top 3 IM training programs?

Hello,

As there are 10,000s of products about different aspects of IM and 10s of WSOs released daily, there should be still some IM training programs that are so comprehensive that one does not need to buy one course or WSO every week.

Is there something like that for you? Some IM training f.e. on Adsense, list building, traffic generation, monetization or whatsoever that has helped you actually make more money online and you do not need to look for new one so often?

It would be great if you can list 3 of them but it is also great if you list just 1.

I am asking this question because I am not a full time marketer nor big buyer but I am curious what do other marketers buy and what they value most - that info is also useful for my future references.

Thanks!

    You make an excellent point.

One of the things I've recommended several times to Warriors is to buy at least one comprehensive IM course. The problem with buying the latest WSO or the latest, newest IM training tactic is that they're just TACTICS. They're not a complete, comprehensive blueprint or strategy. The tactics are just pieces of the puzzle -- and why people often stay stuck and confused. A comprehensive program is the entire puzzle, put together for you.

Tactics and technologies change, but marketing fundamentals don't. Too many WSO's, course, e-books, etc. focus on the latest technology or method for making fast money with NO regard for your business model or marketing fundamentals.

    1. The best IM program I ever found was Ali Brown's "Online Success Blueprint System." It was so good, I bought two copies. (She used to release a newer version each year.)

She no longer offers it, but you can check out her Elevate program, which is essentially the same thing (updated), only it's delivered in a different format (it's all strictly online as a yearly membership) and has more stuff that comes with it. (It also costs more. The OSBS was $1500, the Elevate program annual membership is $3600.)

    I highly, HIGHLY recommend it.

    2. Jeff Walker's "Product Launch Formula." He also has a course called "Start from Scratch." I bought PLF and he gave us SFS for free. Jeff knows what he's doing and his info is top notch. I don't know what the cost for SFS is.

    3. Sheri McConnell's "Marketing 2.0" is much less expensive (only $295) and is pretty comprehensive. Sheri McConnell is my mentor. She's highly successful and knows what she's doing.

Don't blanch at the prices. Too many Warriors have a poverty mentality and aren't willing to invest. I really do "get it" that you might not have much money and are trying to build a business on a shoestring. But I also realized that if I continued to jump from one $37 e-book to the next with no comprehensive plan or knowledge, I was going to waste a lot more time and money than if I just bit the bullet and invested in one comprehensive program.

Another mentor, Carrie Wilkerson, suggests putting the bulk of your money in learning what you need to know (from courses and mentors) and then building your business on a shoestring.

I think she's right. In the end, it saves a lot of time, money and frustration.

Buy at least one, good comprehensive course. THEN be stingy with where you put your money with the other things you buy and how your build your business, looking for those things that will give you the highest return on investment.

    Hope that helps!

    Michelle

    1. Wealthy Affiliate- Great for newbies to get a solid foundation of IM
    2. War Room- Hands down best; Success Story Breakdowns, Free PDF, Free IM Software
    3. 100k adsense- A lot better before Penguin, but still effective.

These are the only 3 things that I ever gained profit through.

I like the information I've seen from Charles Kirkland, Jason Parker and Eric Louviere. Don't over analyze it though. You'll get a ton of great suggestions but you'll have to pick one person you connect with and get busy implementing. Modify things to fit your personality but keep moving forward.

Oh, forgot to add people like Jason Fladlien, Robert Plank and I'm sure there are a few others. Again, pick one and master what they are teaching you. It would have saved me a lot of time had I done that.

For me it was "The Promo Dashboard" by Marlon Sanders.

I was extremely lucky to buy this early in my IM career and it was soo useful that I didn't fall into the trap of buying one product after another after another like most other Internet Marketers.

In fact I find myself turning back to this product again and again and keep finding new little nuggets that I didn't notice before.

Not only that but throughout the product Marlon Sanders just keeps pushing the basics and keeping things simple, so whenever I start complicating things or get confused and caught up in the daily struggle of what I am doing I will turn back to this course for some clarity.

The second product I would recommend to anyone is "Response Dynamite" by Joe Lavery

It is all about how to maximize your VPV or value per visitor. This guy is not as famous as other guru's but he is the guy who the main guru's turn to when they need help improving their businesses, and that should tell you something right there.

The first I heard about him was a story of how one of the main guru's (Matt bacak I think) turned to him for help and he increased that guru's revenue an extra $300,000 per month. Not year, but per month.

The third product I would recommend to anyone is another one from Joe Lavery and that is "Testing Dynamite"

In this one he shows you his processes for tracking and testing your ads, sales pages, banners, your sales funnel, your upsells, etc.

Pretty much how to track and test, and optimize every part of your business.

And what is great about all three of these products is that they all compliment one another.
The first one is about a general business model - drive traffic to a squeeze page, get people on a list, and promote to them your products and affiliate products

The second one compliments that improving your promotion skills through email, and your sales funnel

And the third one compliments both of the above by showing you how to test your whole business and make improvements in each area.

I have spent over $12,000 dollars on stuff when I was a newbie, This might sound stupid, but I made my most with a course that cost just $97 yes!

But the reason is because I took action on it, and it was a list building course. When I found out how powerful list building is, and got off my fat arse, that was the cheese for me! I mean, it blew me away, and totally changed my life.

There is no holy grail, there is only TAKING ACTION, and TAKING ACTION on the right things that will bring you money.
