Squidoo lens issues....?

Hi

Some on my squidoo lenses have been de-indexed by Google.

There are still indexed by squidoo and don't have the no-index tag on them.

I am trying to get one re-indexed once Ive succeeded I will do the same to the others. So far I have...

  1. Up dated and added more content.
  2. Added more modules.
  3. Bookmarked slowly to about 150 sites.
  4. Adding more tags.
  5. Getting the lens as complete as possible (all that's missing is the illusive giant squid like)
  6. Getting 20+ squid likes.
  7. Updating the profile page.
  8. Bookmarking the profile page.
  9. Pinging the lens after its all been up dated
My questions are

  1. Can you suggest anything else I can try to get the lens re-indexed by Google?
  2. Do you think its possible to get the lens re-indexed by Google?
The lens isn't spammy, has plenty of unique content, no affiliate links etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

That's really odd why they de-indexed your lenses.

As long as you add a few 500+ word posts to your lenses, add multiple images, videos and get links from other Squidoo lenses - you're good to go.

I would also link out to other lenses and authority sites. If that doesn't get them re-indexed - move the content onto your own domain/s.

If you are promoting too many products you should remove a few of them.

It’s also a good idea to use many pictures and to post links about your topic from many different websites.

You should also use the widgets (you find them at your dashboard) and promote other lenses that you have created, which should be related to your lens’ topic.

You should ping each lens two – three times per week if you can, after making a few changes. For example, at the module My Lenses you have the option to post your lens collection based on lens rank, or on which lens was recently updated, etc. Change this detail in each lens and you will already have a reason to ping your lens.

Leave positive comments at many lenses created by other lensmasters. Many of them will return the favor and leave a comment in one of your lenses. Ping each lens that receives a comment, and if possible answer the comment saying something interesting. Comments are the best way to get a good ranking.

If it was once indexed, and it now de-indexed for some reason, I would just create a new lens using the same content.

Yeah, several things to do here. As Jamie Hudson mentioned, link to other lenses and related non-competing authority pages. After you re-ping, submit your rss feed to syndication. Squidoo doesn't make your feed visible anymore, so you'll need to view the page source code and search for "xml" to find the feed url. Submit your lens url to indexkings.com to get some stat site backlinks.

If all else fails, create a new lens, copy over the content, link your old lens to the new, and you'll have to start from scratch on link building. If you're in competitive niches, god forbid someone pull an negative seo attack on you.

Or to get the feed simply add your lens name to this string...

      http://www.sqxxxxdoo.com/xml/syndica...s/LensNameHere

(including dashes if there are any and spell Squidoo properly
