When You Partner Up With Another Person To Create A Product- How Do You Manage Leads and Customers?

My client wants to partner up with an expert to do a product launch but he is unsure about how to manage the leads and customers. When two people are involved in the product launch, who owns the leads/customers and what are some best practices for managing the lists?

It all depends on what they both negotiated and agreed to. This is one major detail they need to hammer out and agree on before signing any contracts.

Some people will do a product lunch and then use a service or software to add a person's e-mail to both their lists (by the way, this is not allowed in the WSO forum), thus sharing the prospect leads that way. But it really depends on how you're going to set up your marketing funnel and what both parties agree to.

Excellent question. I would work it out to where the person who is staying in that niche keeps that lead, but the revenue generated from the list for the first 6 month is split evenly.

In other words, try to find a solution beyond who owns the list. If you don't think you'll nurture a relationship with them and he will, or vice versa, then use common sense.

A big list with no relationship is worthless anyways.

Depends on what kind of product, and what kind of contract they agree on.

If its just a 1 time deal for the expert, your client can offer him a higher % of sales and he keeps the leads, and then the expert can keep getting a monthly % because he remains the "face" of the business.

If the expert wants this to be an evergreen type of deal, for years to come, (maybe a monthly membership?) then they have to negotiate and hammer out EVERY LITTLE detail.

IF the expert wants to own the business AFTER the launch (again, maybe membership type service), let him run everything, your guy sets up the marketing, the sales funnel, copywriting etc... while getting a cut from the sales.

As u can see, lots of options that need to be discussed and agreed on before signing anything.

The client is leaning towards this option and I think he is more interested in being paid for every sale than building a relationship with the subscribers.

      Thanks

Whatever you agree upon or decide to do, Rapid Residual Pro (not an affiliate-related recommendation) allows you to split payments, let more than one person (partners, outsourcers, etc.) work on products, etc.

    I hope this helps.
