How to post YouTube video in WSO?

Does anyone know how to get a YouTube video to play inside a wso post?

I've seen a couple of people say to just paste the url of the video, but it just creates a "link" instead of playing inside the post.

For example:

I appreciate any help.

    Yes the video is helpful.

Just insert the full url with youtube.com (not shorter one) It will automatically show up in your WSO page (but not in preview mode )

These days im more into videos

take note, the video will not show up 'embedded' before you submit the WSO for approval. Don't panic as you will be able to edit it after it is approved

      Hi Tim,

I used to have the same problem. Here's the solution: you need to post only the first part of the URL that contains the watch= and the string after it, not the &feature etc. Here's the URL I posted:

      HTML Code:
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSUuUEpYGRg
And here's what it displays as:

Thank you for everyone who has posted. I genuinely appreciate your help.

I'm still not able to get it to work for some reason. It only creates a "link" and not the embedded video. I am pasting the full url and have the automatic parsing and the automatically embed media boxes checked. Here's what happens:

    wso-musicdemo.mp4 - YouTube

    What am I doing wrong?

I'm usually able to figure out stuff like this, but this one's got me stumped. LOL

    Thanks again for your help.

Open up your post in "Advanced Editing" mode. Select the Youtube link in your post, then click on the "Insert Link" icon (the globe and link). This opens a box. Copy the same Youtube link into the box. Save and close. This should get the actual video to show up instead of the bare link.

This method has worked for me when I had the same problem. (Also make sure you're using the long Youtube link from the URL bar, not the short form.) Hope it helps.

This is exactly how I did it. I recently launched my first WSO and I was having the same problem lol. (inserting YouTube video)

        So to recap.

Step 1: Click the Insert link button

Step 2: Paste your YouTube link

Step 3: You're done Hope this helps and good luck on your WSO launch.
