What is the best way to make a video like this?

I have paid animoto but they limit the number of characters I can use, plus theirs slides are so cheesy. I dont even see a plain template..all are heavy in graphics.

One True Media limits me to 80 characters per slide.
Thanks in advance.

P.S I already searched Google but Im not sure what is the name of the type of software im looking for .

Powerpoint is often used to make videos with a lot of text. You can then record the presentation with Camtasia or export the Powerpoint in video format.

That's a really bad video, by the way. Far too much text on each slide, and it's too small to read. If you want to make text-based videos, be sure to limit the amount of text per slide and make it readable.

Agree... I do think this video was build based on power point. I don't know the conversion of this video but for video marketing you didn't have to put so many text(info) in the video.

You can use power point to create your slides and then a software like Jing which is free but you can record up to 5 minutes.

i agree, i think one of the most important thing for a video is clear to see the point~ the text can not read easily, how to make others enjoy it?

It seems to me like camtasia studio work.
They are really good for making videos for presentations and normal videos.

Is not too difficult to create a video with text, as said on the previews posts, it can be done with power point. I agree that the text is too much, some images would be helpful, it will attract the viewers and they will not leave in the middle of the video.

    • Can I ask why you're trying to convert an article into an all-text video? Did you buy a WSO that promised massive traffic this way?

Because the example video is pretty awful. And search engines don't watch videos.

Not saying I think converting straight text to video is optimal (or even good)...But while search engines don't watch videos, they do include videos in the SERPS.

As a matter of fact, Forrester Research suggests it's 50x easier to rank a video in Google than any other type of media.

BTW, the Yahoo search engine is the second largest search engine on the planet and gets far more searches than Bing.

I have used Powerpoint because it allows for animations - so - you can emphasize items. Of course one, should not go overboard (as emphasized by this comedian here in )

Don't mean to hijack thread but I thought I would toss out this question since it is in the same vein:

I have not been totally successful in converting Power Point to Video when there are animations involved. I paid money for a program to do this but it does it just OK ... Does anyone know of a *good* way to convert a Power Point presentation (that has animations and sound) to video?

Another option to keep it really simple....

First, use MS Paint to create simple 1-2 line caption slides that address problems or benefits of your product and save them....

Next, find good photos about or related to your product and save them...

Finally, use Animoto to create a video clip of your photos and captions...

In 10-15 minutes you can create a nice video clip that mirrors the product's sales page with no voice overs or any extra bells and whistles.

    That's it...You're done!

As everybody said, looks like a PPT + Camtasia. Tip: Making a shorter video and motivating viewers to visit your url for more (maybe you can offer something for free or do something to increase their motivations) would give better results. Best Regards

There is piles of good video software out there.

Seriously though, I agree with the consensus of opinion - Camtasia.

You can use Windows Movie Maker, but there’s a limit in the texts you can put. I suggest using Camtasia.

The video offered in the OP's post is awful in my opinion. Bad voice-over artist (slurred speech and no annunciation), bad quality mic with background noise, and slow boring power point presentation with lots of text (oh and bad cheesy background music). LOL sorry if I offended anyone.

Animoto and the like doesn't allow lots of text on screen. But you know what? That's honestly best. Use the video to show KEY POINTS of your talk. Then explain in detail via conversational tone while showing pictures (and thus bringing the viewer to an emotional reaction). A power-point slide with paragraphs isn't what you want, trust me. It's missing the mark completely.

Not to mention there is evidence that shows Google/etc. *DO* pay attention to the closed captioning of video (like on YouTube).

I'd have to agree with everyone who opinionated that the sample video is horrible. Obviously, the person who made it was likely, in all probability, a video creation novice.

The video is way too long, has way too much text and as previously pointed out by Dsouravs, Julesw and Brian Tayler, the audio is detracting.

If you want to make a professional video that represents your company's vision, captures your viewers attention, seals the deal with a stirring call to action and has a high conversion rate, you may want to consider hiring a pro video producer as opposed to attempting the DIY route.

You would take the route because of:

(a). The time factor - when you start talking about using Camtasia, PowerPoint, ProShow Producer, After Effects, Sony Vegas, Corel Video Studio and such, there is a learning curve and that learning curve could very well eat huge chunks of time into the time you need to market, maintain and increase your business.

(b). The tech and skill set factor - when it comes to using the aforementioned software, it takes a certain mindset and skill set. Meaning, some people can learn the software but it may take them eight to ten hours to make a video that a person with the right tech and skill set factors can make in an hour or so. REMEMBER: You cannot replace that valuable time.

(c). The conversion factor - if you are promoting your business via video promotion, the buzz phrase question is, "What is your conversion rate?" In other words, how well is your video converting viewers? Amateurishly done videos like the sample you provided have proven to have a much lower conversion rate versus videos that actually have a salient script, a captivating layout, magnetic music and the type of voice over that has the power to woo listeners.

Overall, in the long run, in most cases, you will save money, time and effort getting a video done as opposed to attempting to become a video pro just to make a few videos.

Don't get me wrong, there are reasons people resort to DIY, but once again, the burning question is the conversion rate.
