In Firefox if you type a keyword into the url bar instead of a website url Firefox will automatically redirect you to Google's #1 search listing, as if you had clicked on Google's I'm Feeling Lucky button. ** Usually ** Has anyone ever seen any requirements for what it takes to get this very nice redirect? Here is an example: In the Firefox url bar instead of a url type in brian kindsvater you should immediately be taken to my law office But, if you instead type in kindsvater you will receive regular Google search listings, even though my law office is #1. The automatic redirect in Firefox and I'm Feeling Lucky Buttons are nice little perks for getting the #1 ranking as they bypass all the Adwords advertising. Any ideas, or has anyone seen what it takes to get this redirect? That is, what is happening so that a different result happens if you type in "brian kindsvater" instead of just "kindsvater"? |

They both take me to your site when I try. My understanding is that "I'm feeling lucky" just directs you to the very first result in google for that search. |
