How was this website built?

Help me out here...take a look at these two identical websites and see if you can tell what platform the site is built on. In the first link, I think I saw a "wp-content" in the source telling me its a Wordpress site. Let me know. Thanks!

The first one is a heavily customized version of the Prosense Wordpress theme IMO. The second is a wordpress theme as well, but is better at hiding it.

I'd be really interested too actually. That's a really cool theme.

The first one is obviously WordPress. I'm pretty sure the second one isn't. There's no reference to wp, wordpress, or plugin in the code, there is no /wp-admin, the "Blog" part of the site is in a special tag called "blog-container", which probably wouldn't occur if it was WordPress (which is, by default, a blog). Finally, some of the setup, such as it's rather advanced content management system for displaying products would be so hard to implement in WordPress that it wouldn't be worth the trouble unless you had a heck of a good plugin.

Also, the way the code is structured and a few typos lead me to believe that at the very least, this was heavily edited, no matter what platform it is, but again, it makes no sense for them to go to all of this trouble just to make a WordPress site look non WordPress.

Finally, the URL structure in contrast to WordPress and other CMS systems at least seems to be hand made, with direct js/ and images/ folders, as opposed to http://url.com/wp-include/...

You're absolutely right. The second one is absolutely not WP based. My apologies. I didn't see the usual WP references in the source the first time I looked, but I thought I saw reference to a WP plugin that I'm familiar with. Sometimes sites are clever about hiding the fact that they use the Wordpress platform for whatever reason, and just because you don't see the typical WP file structure, doesn't necessarily mean it's not. Having looked more closely at the file structure, and the CSS file though, I can say that it is definitely not a WP site. It appears to be good ole' HTML, JS, etc...good call robestrong.
