Hello all, Is 'submitting your site' to search engines something worth doing? I keep reading conflicting advice. And if it is - how do you 'submit' to Google? I was lead to believe - maybe wrongly - that if you have good SEO - your site will get indexed and found organically. So if that is the case - why submit? Can you tell I'm confused....! Thank you all for any thoughts on this. Jenn x |

Don't do it! It makes you more harm that you can imagine. If you submit it to Google, you'll probably have to wait up 6-8 weeks to get indexed. Just do social bookmarking like said before.

This is something that is left around as a default for those that don't know any better and still have a chance to get some attention by the search engines. Just think about all the people that all they know is put a website and submit their website to Google. One of the things that many that are in this forum is that many of you have or know more than the majority of people who flock to the internet for one reason or another The techniques to short cut getting indexed and ranked are all in this forum Ed |
