I'm building a sales funnel with a NWM company on the far backend I say "far" because not many will ever even see that part (brutal filtering) Tactics will be pretty tried and true: - Front door lead capture with tempting 25-odd page giveaway report - Upsell to a super cheap "bootcamp" or whatever I call it - course on leading edge NWM tactics and Web 2.0 magnetic sponsoring strategies - Various "funded proposal" monetized revenue streams littering the path on the way in - Lots of free goodies on the inside (vid training, audios, huge self-improvement library) - The usual community power assets - link exchanges, forums, JV facilitation, social traffic enhancement tools - PLR and 100% reseller assets for lead dev/traffic building - Regular webinars so people can make sense out of the whole thing My question of the day to the WF is this: What platform to use? While this might seem the easiest part (here's where my mentor SCREAMS at me to just pay the money to have it custom-developed), I come from the open source world. So, I always tend to think "Why reinvent the wheel with cool platforms like Joomla and Drupal laying around?" Some of the heavy lifting logic already exists in php (Mark Joyner code (ok, lots of that was PERL), Postnuke modules I've personally developed) Even some cool new stuff for Xaraya (slick and powerful daughter of the Postnuke Project), courtesy of MirageLab. But I'm totally open to shifting gears towards Drupal or maybe custom is the way to go, after all. One other requirement: (this is one reason I'm considering open source) I REALLY WANT TO GIVE THE TOOL AWAY) - so if it's based on a open source CMS, it's almost INFINITELY more customizable, expandable and maintainable. Thanks in advance for any thoughts and suggestions on this one! |

Steve - While I haven't exactly got the hang of either of these two platforms, i.e., Fantasos, and Memberspeed, I know you're familiar with them. Haven't you considered them, and if so, why didn't you mention them here? Would they be appropriate platforms for what it is you're wanting to do? Just wondering. Mitch |

Hi Steve, I don't know about memberspeed but I would definitly look at Fantasos and Contepass. I am currently working on a similar project and would also like to get any comments on this thread. Brian |
