The Ultimate Email Auto Responder?

Hi Warriors,

We are looking for an email marketing platform that can perform the functions in the attached flow diagram.

Name and Email Address are usually captured when customers buy something from you. We therefore need a solution that can auto add customers to a specific email lists when they order a particular product... without the customer having to fill in a separate opt-in form.

Our business has a handful of training courses rather than 1000's of products and we would like to be able to automatically add customers to our follow up and support email lists that are specific to each product. If/when a customer buys the next product in our sales funnel they would automatically be removed from the current list and added to the new product list. The cycle then starts over.

Many ecommerce platforms offer an "Add to Newsletter" feature, but this is not product specific and rarely integrated with an email marketing platform. The ideal solution would either need to integrate with an existing ecommerce solution or handle payment processing directly in order to carry out the required functions.

We currently use a combination of BigCommerce and Aweber which are unable to do what we need.

Does anyone know of or have first hand experience with a solution that will do what we want?

There is a solution out there that will do everything you've
    mentioned - and more.

It's called Infusionsoft and it's a fully integrated autoresponder
and shopping cart (plus an affiliate program manager too):

Small Business CRM | CRM Software for Small Businesses | Infusionsoft (no affil.)

Every subscriber has a unique contact record where their
actions (and inactions) are recorded as they progress through
    your marketing funnel.

You can automatically add them to your database when they
buy one of your products (or join a prospect list).

You can automatically tailor the follow-up specifically based
upon what products they've purchased - and even based
upon what links they've clicked on.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

      Thanks Shaun.

I knew Infusionsoft would rate a mention.

It's probably a little out of our budget but it certainly looks powerful enough to do what we want.. and more like you said.

Are there any budget conscious alternatives to Infusionsoft out there, perhaps with not so many bells and whistles? Might be overkill for us, but I'd almost get it just for the triggers on purchases

    Hey Stuckster,

As you already mentioned - Infusionsoft looks like it's going to be the best fit for what you are trying to do.

Not sure of any others that will do everything you're looking for.

    Hope that helps!

Infusionsoft is probably the best bet off the shelf but is expensive and I have also been told (I have never used it myself) that it is difficult to get the hang of.

I have recently been using Mailchimp and was surprised at the amount of things you can do with it. Not sure if it would do all you ask but check it out and see. Also there customer services is pretty good and if you emailed them your PDF I bet they would have a look at it and come back with a answer.

      Thanks everybody for the responses.

Have since come across Officeautopilot.com (which I believe Frank Kern is currently using). It has similar pricing to InfusionSoft and seems to offer a similar feature set.

Nanacast and also looks like it may be a cheaper alternative to InfusionSoft.

Premiumwebcart.com might also be worth a look.

Has anyone had any experience with these InfusionSoft alternatives?

        Infusionsoft.

That's what I use for the same purpose.

Hmm, after a quick glance at MailChimp's features I noticed that they use double opt-in which will not suit our needs.

"MailChimp uses the double opt-in process for our built-in list-management system"

Aweber has the same issue. Double opt-in is terrific for maintaining high delivery rates, but terrible for migrating contacts and streamlining sign ups.

We need customers to be automatically added to specific lists triggered when they place an order.

      Stuckster,

Have you taken a look at GreenRope? We currently use InfusionSoft and Basecamp. We're looking at GreenRope as an option for consolidating the two systems.

Specwise, it seems to do all of what you're looking for.

      Best of luck!
