What is the best way to produce PowerPoint VIDEO w/ Camtasia 5?

Hey guys,

I hope someone can help me here. I am trying to convert my PowerPoint presentation using Camtasia 5 to the best possible format. What do I mean by that?

Well, the format needs to be:

Single video (People will just click it and be able to watch it)
compatible both with PC and MAC

Thank you very much. I've bee trying to figure it out and I can't. The best I've done so far is to make a custom flv without html and that gives me 2 files.

One more thing I forgot to add is that the file is for download. I want them to be able to view it on their own computer with a single file.

    Thanks,

Personally, downloading should be your last option. It negates additional upsell and affiliate opportunities, or at the very least - adsense income. Here is a sample of what I mean:

      http://www.mzonereport.com/video_two_lax.htm

Create your power point as per usual, while adding the script for each screen in the notes section in power point just under the display window. Then give it a couple run-throughs to help fine tune the flow of your language and emphasis.

Next, position your recording zone in Camtasia over the desired size in your power point and start recording your script with a slight pause between each screen allowing for you to manually change the corresponding power point display. If you goof up verbally, no worries just pause then start at the last point again. Continue until finished.

When you stop the recording Camtasia will ask you to edit, say yes, and proceed to go in cut out your miscues. When you have eliminated all of them add any title pages, zooms, or notes to the screen wherever appropriate.

Next add intro and exit music with transition effects between screen changes.

Finally render (with a small transparent logo in one of the corners) into FLV format and upload to youtube, amazon, vimeo, jumpcut or viddler - (all free). Get the embed code and design a simple html page that include adsense, affiliate banner. email sign up etc.

Post to the world wide web and go watch the cookies bake.

Thanks Marty. I appreciate your feedback. However, the video I am referring to is for a paid product. I've had couple of people contact me because they were confused about having 2 files within the folder.

So, I wanted to just create a single file for them to download and open on their computer. Thanks again,

    Peter
