Warriors,

I know there are a number of websites where writers can sign up and browse various blogging/writing opps on websites. I have a friend that is a great writer and I am trying to help her get out there. Let me know...Thanks!

I recommend using odesk thats where i go if i need my articles written there platform is realy easy and the writter gets to as much information about there self as they can.
But at first she will be better off signing up to a few different sites like fiverr ect do a google search and find as many as you can review them and see which ones get the best traffic because when she's first starting out the work will be coming in slow untill she gains some credablitiy and good reviews

You can have you friend open a thread in the Warriors For Hire section and give out some free reviews. However, lay-out some criteria as to who can only ask for a free review (e.g. those with 500+ posts, 50+ thanks, etc).

You need to set these criteria so only serious reviewers will come to you.

If I could be so rude, don't recommend her any of the sites mentioned above.

Have a thorough read of this thread

        http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...e-writing.html

...paying close attention to posts by rose, joe, Ruth, ross, and any others that encourage higher price writing.

After that, search the forum for threads on pricing for content writing (on my phone so can't do it at the moment)

There is a wealth of information and experience in these threads. Read them in full before you recommend anything to your friend.

I made an offer and your ' friend' and never has the courtesy of a response.

So he can't be very interested ..or reliable.

That will be the last time.

Perhaps it was for the best, Glen.

It's much less frustrating to find out about unreliability before one engages in an actual business deal.

Joe, I think after the 30th iWriter thread you've posted in, people understand it's not your favorite. How about providing the OP with help, instead of bashing someone else's suggestion? Just a thought.

From my side of the bridge, it would seem I am helping them. . Understandable why you see differently though, it is your site after all. I'm certain that if I am wrong the site can prove that for itself.

No worries, Joe. I understand why you would comment negatively given your signature. Have a nice weekend.

Tis a real shame, as a lot of knowledgeable Warriors are so generous with their advice. And, in this instance, there was even a lead for work!
I have a sneaky hunch that there was no "friend" to start with. Unless maybe that friend was trying to compile a list of resources to include in a product?

I think it's much the same with the "if you had to start over" threads - people are trying to Joe Kumar their way to wealth and glory without actually having to know or contribute anything on their own.

For those like me who weren't around for Joe Kumar's time on here, a helpful link to get the story. Fascinating read.

The reviewer neglected to mention something. Given the fact that he is selling this 'brilliant work' in the sidebar of his blog, it's understandable.

The 30-day plans submitted by these "gurus" all seemed to have one thing in common. Every single one of them depended on a product or service that guru was currently marketing for success.

In other words, a key step in each plan was "buy a copy/membership/subscription to [affiliate link]." Brilliant? Maybe. Valuable and useful? Maybe not so much.

I read through the various plans and asked for a refund from Kumar. He replied with a nasty email accusing me of trying to steal his ebook. Followed by a request to promote it as an affiliate! Got to give him points for pure chutzpah on that one. I just got my refund from Clickbank instead.

I had Kumar down as a bad apple, and his later exploits proved me right.

    Hey there,

Can you let me know what topics she has expertise in, or what she likes writing about?

If your friend is located in US, demand studios and text broker are great options for her.

If not, iWriter, Fiverr, digitalpoint services section are the best free places to start with.

    Wish her luck

Constant-content.com is worth checking out too. You can actually get half decent money for your articles there unlike most of the other content mill type places.

Currently I am checking out odesk and elance, however the rates there are so low its unreal, unless you like to write for free. I wish there was an equally large marketplace where the minimum payout per fixed amount of words was reasonable.
