Landing page: 1 or 2 columns

I'm having a landing page built on fiverr and I thought I'd do
is at an article advertisement as you would read in a magazine
that has two columns.

Has anyone studied or tested a two column landing page or do
you have an opinion about its effectiveness vs the standard one
column?

    I noticed most of my visitors prefer the left column, for some reason I feel they don't see the right one, 83% of the visitors go directly to the left, put your most valuable pages on the left one

    One column landing page is effective. You will notice that most marketer use one column.

    The reason why most landing page has one column because it helps the visitor to focus on the content.
