Default Should I set up an RSS feed for my HTML site?-If yes, how best to proceed?

Is there any good reason for me to set up an RSS feed for my HTML site?

I do add articles to that site frequently, so perhaps interested parties might want to be notified when I do that, but aside from that, is there any SEO or other advantage to me/my site in setting up an RSS feed?

If it's a good idea, what's the best/easiest way to do it?

Thanks!
David Portney
