Making a website for my moms mortgage business

Hey everyone,


Can I please get a bit of advice as to how to get the most leads out of this site.

My mom is a mortgage broker here in Ontario, she is in the top 10 mortgage brokers and gets almost all of her business form referrals.

She doesn't have a website and gets ZERO leads from the internet.

From hearing this, I realized that there is a lot of untapped potential there and I want to help her. She's super busy and doesn't have time to look over Internet marketing material and forums posts to figure out the best way to do it - So I've taken on the job for her and plan to hire someone off Elance(already found an awesome guy) to build a website. As a mortgage broker in ontario, she's not limited to just Ontario she can do mortgages for anyone in Canada, and even in the US. So there is a large untapped market there she could be serving.

From reading some of the awesome posts on this forum and watching some internet marketing speakers seminars, I have come to this conclusion:

(And I'd like any advice on how I should get the most out of it and get the most leads please)


So It seems we need a Squeeze page
-Simple page with Video of my mom introducing herself and offering something of value for free and to enter your e-mail in to receive it. (We're thinking 20 free videos on FAQ and Should-ask-questions)
-Also on this page there will be a "Request a call" and "Apply online now" buttons.
(besides this the page will have nothing else on it to distract people away)
-this is the page we will send PPC ads to (sound good so far?)

When people do enter their info for their free thing - They will be directed to another page with another short video saying something along the lines of: "thank you, enjoy. if you want to apply right now for a pre-approval enter in your info bellow and we will get back to you within 24 hours."
-bellow there will be an application form and a submit button

-if they do submit their info and apply they will be directed to a thank you page and then redirected to the home page(blog page)

So thats the Squeeze page,

Next the main website, I was thinking should be a blog site.
-One in which the Home page is one in the same as the Blog page so Instead of a generic home page with like a welcome message and a picture we just wont have a home page at all, and the blog page will be the home page.
-Across the top will be HOME(which is the blog page), ABOUT CATHERINE(my moms name), APPLY NOW, REQUEST A CALL, CONTACT US
-Along the right hand site of the page will be the opt in for their free 20 videos
-if they opt in from here, or anywhere, they will be directed to the proceeding page where we try to get them to apply online in that moment.

-this opt in form on the main site will be on the right hand side of most pages including the home/blog pages, the about catherine page, and the contact us page.

How we will get traffic:
-We will spend some money SEO'ing the main site.
-Each blog post will include a Vblog - each of these Vblogs will also be uploaded to Youtube with optimized titles and descriptions, (at the end of each video it will say click the link below for 20 free videos, and it will direct them to the squeeze page) (the goal of doing weekly/biweekly Vblogs is to give value to the audience she builds and position herself as an authority and expert.
-PPC directed to the Squeeze page
-Connected with Facebook/twitter/youtube, so all new posts are broadcasted out to these social media sites.
-Probably purchase a couple thousand real youtube views each time she releases a vblog so that it makes it look more credible and watched by many.


So thats what I've got so far! How does this sound? Any comments, concerns, advice for me please?

One of my big questions is, now what do we send to the list? (with the goal of them choosing my mom as a mortgage broker at that very moment, or if and when the need arises)
