Not the answer you probably want to hear, but it depends. Same answer holds true for any asset you intend to add to your business. What is your plan for the turnkey site? How does it fit into your overall business plan. How much do you project to bring in frOm this site, and is that time/money investment going to bring you closer to your goals?

We cannot answer those questions for you, and can't even really speculate when all we know is that you are looking at "a turnkey eBay site."

Years and years ago, I was one of the first "site flippers" on eBay. I was selling turnkey private labeled travel sites. I sold them for $500 to $1000. I always kept good contact with my buyers, as I wanted to see their progress (and sell them more stuff).

It seemed one in ten would do something with the sites and actually make money. Out of about 75 sites that I sold, I only knew of one person that was using his site to generate over $1k a month. It was all about the effort one was willing to put into it. I used the exact same site and mine generated three or four thousand a month. Most people were simply unwilling to do anything, despite paying hundreds of dollars for a turnkey business. They wanted the income to be turnkey too.

So, Joe is correct when he says "it depends". It depends on what kind of business you are buying and what kind of person you are.

    Good luck.

You may be better off setting up your own site for Affiliate offers, or adding Adsense etc.

Test the water and see if it is for you first and if you can draw visitors in before parting with cash on anything.

I'd suggest building your own site from scratch. You will learn much more and whatever knowledge you aquire can be put to use in future projects.

Too many people buy turnkey sites and hope to become a millionaire overnight without fully understanding what it takes to become a successful IMer.

Learn it first, then use it.
