Cart Abandonment
There is a product on the market from a company called SeeWhy that is ideal for this but they only deal with eCommerce sites with a turnover of over $1M per year (count's me out!).
It works by saving the data entered into the checkout form in real time and also following up by email in real time if the checkout is abandoned.
Ie Someone starts the checkout procedure and enters their first and last name along with their email address, which are the first form fields on the page, BUT then abandons the transaction for whatever reason.
The software has saved the data entered so far and when abandoned, sends a real time email with the first one along the lines of - "whoops, was there a problem and how can we help" type. Then follow-up emails on a timed basis maybe 3 days later, then 7 days etc etc
It also knows if a customer goes back and completes the purchase themselves, probably through a cookie or similar, and stops sending emails accordingly.
I know these emails are not opted-in but I think the benefits outweigh the cons.
I know you can try and get a opt-in pretty quick on your site and do something similar with Aweber, getresponse etc but anyone know of a software that works on the method above?
Anyone using similar on their site?
