Hi Guys,

What is the best time to send out emails to your list?

2:14 PM. You can't post one minute before or one minute after or you are absolutely f***ed. Seriously though, that takes testing and depends on your niche to find out what the "best" time is. An alternative is to condition your readers to get the email at the same time all the time by giving them a schedule and sticking to it.

As far as time of day for Monday - Friday in U.S. or U.K., usually around 7:30 am would be a good place to start. Like Joe says be sure and test. If you are emailing twice a day, the second time in those two countries might be twelve hours later or a little less.

Here's an insight from Mailchimp, about the habit of people to open their emails:
    1. More people open email during the day than at night. You may find that changing the time that you send your emails will change your percentage of opens.

    2. More emails are sent during the week than on weekends, with Tuesday and Thursday being the highest volume days. Changing which day you send your emails may improve your open and click rates

    3. More links lead to more clicks. Placing a particular link in your content more than once may increase the number of clicks for that link.

Unless you can separate the list out by country any specific time is pointless.

"No ****, Sherlock?!" The incisive perceptiveness of people in autoresponder companies just never disappoints, does it?

Do you think that might refer to their time-zone, rather than to yours?

... after you've decided, somehow, from their often-global email addresses, in which countries in the world they live, so you can catch them all at exactly the right time of day, if there is one. I can't do it, myself: mine live all over the world, and I don't even know where most of them live anyway, and the world was divided into 24 time-zones, the last time I looked. So I tend not to worry about this, myself. Call me lazy, but I certainly don't spend my life analyzing their IP numbers to see where they live.

I do see that, arguably, it might (just about) be slightly relevant to someone who - for whatever reason - had all their subscribers living within the same one or two time-zones, and I acknowledge that there are people with such local lists, of course ... but for anyone/anything else? Forget it. :p

The best answer I've found is this: Right after you've finished typing it and then gone over it twice to make sure you spelled your name correctly (and the rest of the words in the email as well). I wouldn't do it before you're done typing it, though, as that could lead to problems such as blank emails or sentences that stop ri

    See...that was annoying, right?

I find the best is to contract with an outside company and let them worry about it.

If the response is below 2%, I am refund a portion of my cash. I am also refunded a portion for all returned emails.
