ClickBank 2 Billion 135 Million ?

Is this right?

It seems too low.

If CB have been around for 14 years that is not that much money in my opinion.

The company I used to work for did 4+ billion last year alone and thats 4+ billions EUROS!

Also considering other industries rake in several billion per year!

And even more so because so many marketers seem to be making their few million every week or so

Thoughts?

To me, it seems a fortune.

It averages out at well over $400,000 per day.

And it's accelerating a lot, at the moment, with ClickBank's ever-increasing turnover: the last time I looked it was only just over the 2 Billion. They've paid out another 135 Million so quickly.

"Other industries"?! ClickBank isn't an "industry", Andrei. It's just one retailer.

      That is fair enough.

But like I said, there are companies that turn over billions per year... and no they are not banks..

How many billions have you earned over the last 14 years?

        That is fair enough.

But like I said, there are companies that turn over billions per year... and no they are not banks..
And there are companies that lose money year in and year out. What do either of these have to do with Clickbank?

I see what some are getting at.

"What's the point of the thread?"

There is 'no point' per say other than for discussion.

This is a forum to share and contribute ideas... as well as selling and marketing stuff

Why do you go for coffee? Sometimes business, sometimes to socialize and just have a chat. Same thing with forums. There doesn't always have to be a point about everything. So long as we keep it within the realm if our area.

The same can be said for many other things.

What is the point of having sex with contraception if you are not planning on having babies and multiplying? To have fun obviously.

What is the point of climbing Mt Everest if there is no sweet business deal made from it? To achieve something?

What is the point of discussing CB's paid out earnings? To discuss and share our ideas.

          No harm done.

Because I see people here talking about backlinks from article directories, and I keep telling them that those are only non-context-relevant, PR-0 cr@plinks, and that 100,000 of those backlinks and $3.50 will buy them a cappuccino at Starbuck's, so I have to keep one eye on the prices at Starbuck's, don't I?
I wouldn't want anyone to catch me out exaggerating in public.

      Are you having a laugh?

Fortune 500 dude. And that's the ones they publish.

For example the company I worked for was and still is a private company that will never end up on the fortune list.

        Andrei,

I really do not get the point of this thread. There are companies that turn over $1000 per year. There are companies that turn over billions of dollars per year. There are companies that lose money each year. Yeah, so, what's your point?

Clickbank's turn over is whatever Clickbank's turn over is. It doesn't have to be more or less than any other company out there... and I'm not sure why you think it needs to be?

Besides, for a lot of those 14 years Clickbank were nowhere near as popular as they are nowadays so a lot of that amount would have been accumulated over the last 5-8 years or so.

There's 5 minutes you could have instead spent on your own business.

I thought the same thing when I saw it, especially when some claim, "Top affiliates making a bazillion every day"... Wonder what that number is when you include what Clickbank has collected..?

      That's not difficult to estimate.

ClickBank takes 7.5% of the retail price, plus $1 per item as a "stocking fee" (such cheap stockings they wear there), plus product-listing fees at $49.95/$29.95 ...
