Hi guys,

I have started to gather email Ids for email marketing via an easy but superb technique ( I will share the secret technique after my success) and now, I am facing a problem with spam. If I send bulk emails, they will just land in spam folder and my effort will just fade away. I hope you guys already combated this problem and have good methods or software. Thanks in advance.

You should use Aweber to send emails to your list. They have technology that will prevent your email end up at Spam Folder.

In their FAQ page, Aweber claims that their deliverability exceeding 99%. It means from 100 emails, only 1 email end up at Spam Folder, and the other 99 email successfuly end up at inbox folder.

You should try it. A lot of IMers use Aweber to build their list and send emails to the subscribers.

Also be sure to test your e-mails to a small "test list" yourself first. Most e-mail auto-responders do have a "spam check" built in to tell you if your e-mail is too "spammy"

Even with Aweber, I have found a few emails do get sent into the junk folder (I have one of my email addreses on one my lists). I don't think there is anything you can do except provide more content so that the spam meter on Aweber isn't as high.

  • If you are going to switch to Aweber, you should do it as soon as possible. They will not let you directly import your list. You will have to have your list opt-in again to your Aweber list.

What autoresponder are you using to gather & send out
emails? I would strongly suggest you take a look at getresponse
if you are serious about building a list for the long term..
which I think you should be doing.

As for me, I have tried many different providers, I personally use AWeber because that’s who all the big names were using, if it was good enough for them, it was good enough for me. I personally like having accounts with two different company’s (2 hosts, 2 autoresponders, 2 domain registrars etc) because I feel safer then relying on one company, that is why I started using iContact. I like iContact and would happily recommend either of these providers.

Aweber is great. They have some Spam-bam-thankyou-maam thing that calculates a spam score. Emails with a score less than 5 are good to go, anything above requires editing. It is a shame that you can't just transfer your list though...

From reading this it almost sounds like you are scraping emails and sending out bulk emails. To do email marketing effectively you must get the visitor to opt into your list which is giving you permission to keep communication going. You can accomplish this by using a autoresponder. Aweber and Get Response are two respectable autoresponders.
