Looks like a great product Erik - how did you develop that?

I would look into getting some form of Distribution deal for an established retailer to sell it into sporting good stores for you

  • You should try to get on the Shark Tank. This looks like the type of stuff they look for. Even if you don't want to make a deal, it would be good publicity.

I could also see this working for tennis. I often hold the racket with my hand hanging off of the end, especially when I am trying to get a power serve because I am not 6'1" or taller.

      Shark Tank...hmmmmm. Thanks!

Thought about tennis, but wouldn't the switching back & forth between hands while playing be a problem?

For tennis, it really depends how easy it is for the device to release the grip. Not so much for switching back and forth between hands, but more for gripping up and making slight adjustments to the grip when necessary. It may not really appeal to the masses in tennis, but if I could add another 5 - 10 mph on my first serve, I might not need to adjust anything. For all other play, the player could put it in his pocket.

Oh, yes. I see now. Wrap and Grip for serve only. Yes can be done. Releases easily...then while switching back and forth if need be between hands would not get in way.

I do not know if it would be allowed in tennis however.

In baseball/softball legal everywhere...even in Professional baseball.

Golf. Not allowed in tournament play. But the duffers are the ones who'll buy it.

You say it is allowed in play for every level up to professional in baseball. Have you tried giving it away to top college and pro players? If you could get just one person who is well respected in batting to use it, it may take off. Many companies do this with celebrities.

Another thing you might try is to give a discount for buyers who share the offer with their friends. You could change your model to charge for shipping in the US, but offer free shipping if they tweet your product, share on facebook, or share through email to their friends. Or keep the free shipping model and offer 10% off for sharing. This will help spread the word and the social signals will help with search engine rankings.

Very good point, getting someone respected to wear it could be a big move and shift a lot of units!

This sounds like a fantastic unique idea. Look into getting someone or a company who is well versed in marketing (not just IM). Not sure how much you have to spend... but look into re-investing as much as you can of the profits right now.

    Hey,

Have you tried putting your product in shopping portals like Frogit?

Get active using social media, see you don't have many followers on Facebook or Twitter and even though YouTube has had plenty of views you should be monitising them so much more adding links under videos and things, you have a great product and could really get some viral traffic if you get it set up right.

The other things I would do is get collecting contact details from those that land on your site, luring them into signing up to a newsletter or something of value that can be downloaded Free then just keep displaying the value it has with a automated follow-up sequence.

PM me if want any help would be a pleasure.

I agree 100%. You have a good product and I think you have a lot of opportunity for it to go viral.

    Whipstrip-

Sounds like you're sitting on something
that could be HUGE if you make the right
choices and move in the right directions.

I'm not sure how you'd feel about it, but
my gut instinct is to tell you to hire some
kind of marketing consultant, or partner
    with one.

Sounds like you have a dream product, so
partnering with a marketing whiz (not just
Internet Marketing, like Brian said), could
easily turn this into a big winner.

Someone who knows how to get your product
in front of the right eyeballs could completely
revolutionize this and help you shift some real
    volume, I suspect.

I wish you the best with it.

Yes, looking at the Big Picture, the more I think about it.... bringing in the RIGHT PARTNER who posess all the capabilities of making this product a brand name and share in it's growth is probably the right direction!

One answer could be increased capital perhaps to start and advertising campaign locally or another means of easier production or something. A way I'd recommned going about getting to the next level in terms of production could be that of kickstarter.com you could apply for finance there and really get going from then on.

I would bring the product to different sporting goods store around your area and see if they would consider putting on sale in the stores. This could get you more publicity as well as more sales.

I agree with Brian and David.

I'd think there might be some national brands interested in exclusive licensing rights for your products. There are a lot of other possibilities as well. Especially if you get hooked up with the right person/people. Have you contacted your local SCORE chapter?

Good luck to you, however you proceed.

Thanks Lance for you insight! I have not considered this but I will look into it.

Here's my dilemma as I see it...

I could continue marketing the product(s) on my own and slowly build the business and maybe make a nice living on it. I mean after all right now it's making money.

My fear is that another party could come along, see the potential and bring the product to the masses and beat me to market share. The it's game over! Although I have patent protection, what would the cost be to have to fight and litigate something like that. I am just a little guy.

My feeling now, is that I would gladly give up half of everything to the right partner in order to as quickly and effectively (in whatever avenue that might be, including licensing) bring the product to mass market.

Yes, it bounces around page 1 & 2

But that's precisely my point. I have no idea how I got there, nor do I know if there are better keywords I can be using...

I am successfully selling this product by default

i would promote it to break even and get a kick butt list of baseball players. this is how the infomercials do it and this product would be perfect for that.

imagine having a list of 10,20, 100K people who are interested in batting better.

that is where the gold is in these products.

    need help? let me know.
