Looking for clarification on how to display Amazon products

I asked this in my other post but it was unrelated to that post. I have a niche site dealing with mothers and their newborns. Its an adsense site, my question is if I were to use amazon affiliate links on this site should I create a separate product page that lists products relating to the site, such as breast pumps, with a link to read a review for each product? Or should I embed text links on the pages getting traffic now with the adsense ads on them?

Truth be told, it's up to you how you want to do it. The idea is to find something that works for your website and gives you the best $ per visitor value. Here are some thoughts

    1) Create dedicated pages for individual products with product reviews. This would work really well if you know a few products that are selling well.

    2) Create amazon store type pages. These pages will basically contain a listing of a number of products with a buy now button leading to the Amazon website.

    3) Display amazon widgets on your pages (right hand column, middle of the pages and bottom of the pages are some places where you can try them).

    4) Use text links within your content (These are the ones I would recommend to start with).

Please note that of the four options mentioned above the one that yields you the most amount of money for a certain number of visitors to your page should be the one you look into in detail over the long run. You must have a mindset of making the most amount of money from the least number of visitors, therefore tracking everything is very important.

Thanks for the info, I guess the main thing is just do it and see what works best as you mentioned. Another quick question, is there a list of what is required on an Amazon Affiliate site such as disclaimers, privacy policy etc? I thought I read somewhere you have to now put a FTC disclaimer or something along those lines.

How and why did you choose amazon? Do you know what the commission rate is from amazon for some one who is starting off? Its about 3% to 5%, that means if you sell $100 worth of good you make 3 to 5 dollars. not good in my opinion, but maybe they have changed the commission rate.

Because I always wanted to try out Amazon, who knows maybe I will learn a few things and decide I can make more money a different route.

The commission rate is nearly double your quote (4%-8.5%). I've done LOTS of things in IM in my career and Amazon is one of the easiest strategies to learn and employ, even for beginners.
